My hands are full for the next few days but I would appreciate your comments on the blog article!
Excellent article, well written and seems to be fairly balanced.
Interesting that LT says his view was the the t/o wasn't dependent on the Trust.
JR - A Saviour gone sour???
I agree that it is a well written article but in my opinion it is slightly biased against JR, which i would expect from someone who has an axe to grind with him anyway.
Also, i was in the South Stand on the day that the Brammall Out banner was displayed and the stewards did steam in and eject the people carrying it.
I saw it for myself so it did happen despite what it says in the article.
However, we were led to believe that the TO wasn't dependant on the Crowdfunder money but from what has been published so far, perhaps it was.
It seems ludicrous that the FL deem JR to be "not a fit and proper person" when the likes of Cellini has been passed by them, albeit after an appeal.
Perhaps there is more to come about this and perhaps when JR calms down a bit he will consider an appeal to be appropriate.
The person i feel truly sorry for is PD who has found himself in a bad place again.
Hopefully TB will back him on what he has already got pre-arranged so he can proceed with his plans for the coming season.
Perhaps now Mr Ryan's had his fingers burnt yet again he'll stay well away from the club now.
Still not forgiven him for his antics last season, or his abysmal support for the farcical experiment the year before the year before. It's about time we took on more of a biased stance against him, instead of the 'you have to love him 'cos of what he did to save our club', in the past 5 years he's done everything he can to get his fisog in the press and usually to the embarrassment of the normal drfc fan.
I was also in the SS on the day the banner was displayed and don't recall any stewards doing anything other than escorting those carrying it around. Perhaps it happened towards the family stand which may explain why I missed that bit.
Very positive statement from Bramall and Watson ( Terry quoted) that maybe all is not lost. They still are prepared to back Dickov with a worthwhile budget to help get the team on a run for promotion.
I still think they will be looking to offload to a suitable party or parties as soon as posssible and I don't blame them for that. They do say that they want only what is best for the club.
The statement is on the official site.
Hound, the FA have already said there is no need for JR to appeal, he only has to prove he has £5 million at his disposal.
It's all really sad, and I feel for everyone at the club as well as all the supporters who just want the best for the team. Once again, like two years ago, I will be happy to see a competent team that can at least keep us in Div One for a while.
Now all the fuss and flummery is over Bramall and Watson are, apparently, going to ensure we have a competitive budget so that the manager can sort out a squad of players. I'll drink to that.
Miller turns down Donny for Blackpool!

This is one of the players I really wanted!!! after last seasons performance at Yeovil.
Bailey has signed for Barnsley too. I suspect that the budget will be relatively small now, putting pressure on PD to be more imaginative than he has been in the past. He tends to go for cast-offs from bigger clubs rather than players who show promise from the leagues below.
If the game at Grimsby is anything to go by the team are 3 up in 30mins without the manager there!
No Copps, Wellans, Keegan.
Ben Williams, Liam Wakefield, Ben Askins, Luke McCullough, James Husbands, Kyle Bennett, Harry Forrester, Dean Furman, Marc De Val Fernandez, Theo Robinson, Nathan Tyson.
Subs: Jamie Ashdown, Lewis Ferguson, Alex Peterson, Billy Whitehouse, Scott Brown, Paul McKay, Ben Greasley, Jordan Linley, Alex Head.

Donny 4-0 Grimsby
Tyson,
Bennet, scored one, made one, most unusual!
Robinson,
Peterson.
Friend of mine was in a London cab the other day and the driver was a QPR fan. He told him that the two best teams he saw at Loftus Road last season were Burnley and (you can guess) Doncaster Rovers!
And it appears to be good-bye from him.

Well this is getting to be a right shambles!!
Don,
This going to be a hard season. From the latest statement on the OS Young Dicky has accepted the new budget or rather the old one before the Ryan hyper one when we were going to be bigger that Manchester United.
I banged on about YD having no excuse for failing with the super budget but he has now because he has been stitched up like a kipper for the second time.
I know who I hold responsible for this mess but nobody can change it now we have to get on with it but its going to be a hard season.
I see no problem with Wellens going I am sure that will release money to improve the squad but I would be disappointed with Copps going!
Just been on the OS, Terry Bramhalls comments re. the budget and aims for the coming season seem to be drifting downwards from what I 'understood' him to have said when the T/O collapsed i.e. the current owners ambitions were for an immediate return to the Championship with appropriate funding in place to achieve this. I get the impression now that, although all concerned would like to be up there at the end of the season, it will be more by good luck than good planning. It seems we are now about to go for a mixture of youth (cheap) with a sprinkling of experienced (not so cheap) fairy dust. Will it work? I hope so but it doesn't very often. Last nights result was encouraging but with respect to Grimsby we'll be facing tougher opposition than them this coming season so I won't be holding my breath!
I feel sorry for PD, 2 years running pre season is a shambles through no fault of his own (I wonder if he can remember where and when he shot the albertross!). That said he is starting to irritate me a little with his 'I enjoy a challenge' comments. He had plenty of challenges last season and whether he enjoyed them or not I don't know but he didn't rise to them 'cos we're looking at a season back in League 1 and I'm not convinced this is isn't the start of the slippery slope. (I do think injuries to key players played a big part in this, but April!! - least said).
The one player I wanted the club to sign has gone to Barnsley TURNBULL!
What is it at Barnsley? they don't have a scouting system apart from keeping an eye on our training ground.
It looks like YD had planned for it as we have two new keepers but have they signed?
I wonder if I can swap my Rovers S/T with one for Barnsley - then I can go and watch our best players.
I don't mind them leaving but do they all have to go in One Direction?
With Brammalls lack of backing we will be lucky if we are a mid table team.
This is exactly why i was in favour of the takeover.
Look what happened in December and January last season when we had to play some youngsters because TB wouldnt put his hand in his pocket.
Wellens says it all with his reasons for wanting to go.
I would think that PD's "i like a challenge" comment is probably in his way of having a go at TB's lack of support.
As for having a dig at PD for the failure to keep us up last season, well that is a bit harsh blaming just him.
I can think of six other reasons
straight away which would have made a difference and they are all missed chances by Billy Sharp, any one of which could have earned us an extra point which would have kept us up.
Enough of that old stuff however.
Looking forward, it doesnt suprise me that Brammall is not looking to back the manager, i dont think he is in touch with the fans and i am beginning to take a serious dislike to him.
Expect some "we want Brammall out" chants and banners next season when it becomes apparent that we cant compete.
Dont blame the manager because it wont be his fault.
*I don't blame PD for taking us down last season, as I said I think we would probably have survived if it hadn't been for the injuries to the likes of Jones, Bongani, (prob not spelled correctly!), Husband, Wellens and Sharpie etc. I still haven't made my mind up about his management capabilities: I like his positive attitude but I think he tends to 'shoot from the hip' a little sometimes. For example after Duffy abandoned ship, and before anyone else had followed him PD was quoted in the Doncaster Star to the effect that he thought all the other out of contract players would be signing on again and I'm pretty sure making similar remarks after Cotts and Brownie went awol. This is either down to not knowing how his players and their agents are thinking, or relying on false hopes (and promises no doubt) with regard to the takeover. Probably a bit of both. I'm neither a fan nor critic of PD at present, I think it must be the frustration of what's happening (or not happening) that's starting to make me annoyed about little things that would normally pass me by. If I'm frustrated, and I bet I'm not alone, I can't imagine how PD must be feeling seeing his better players being picked off one by one (Usually by Barnsley). I think Alex is right - we find 'em, they sign 'em
Bramhall has rather been left "holding the baby". I suppose that to be positive, Copps and Rob Jones have been prepared to keep faith, although Jones was probably not really in a position to offer his services elsewhere anyway. It is difficult to brand all the outgoing experienced players mercenary and one can understand why they feel that the future looks rather bleak.
It looks pretty bleak to me, but we will just have to make the most of it, like in the old days. Survival and rebuilding will be the aim. Dickov will have a challenge, but then most lower league managers will be in a similar position or worse.
