Depends on performance. Maybe not displace but hopefully he'll be good competition.

Might even carry on with 2 upfront if he proves a good buy.

Daniel Sturridge should be the first name on the team sheet now that Luis has gone

I totally disagree, the first player on the teamsheet would be your keeper

theres more than sturridge to score goals, but only mignolet can save goals with his hands

I'd be excepetionally surprised. Remy is a good Premier league striker.

Studge is scoring faster than any we've had.

Reckon he will play in the CL games as he has good experience for Marseille.

We should be looking at playing our strongest XI in the league games and a slightly weaker one for the CL in my opinion, the league should be the priority. Obviously we still want to do well but the players who struggle to play three games a week should be rested e.g. Gerrard, others will be ever present e.g. Hendo, Sakho.

Depends on performance. Nobody should expect to be first in line unless they're showing why they should be.

To start with I agree but I think that goes without saying. In the long run it'll depend on performance.

Remy can also operate in a wide right position in a 4-3-3

Remy is a very good player and I think it is nip and tuck between him and Sturridge as to who is better. My only problem would be they are much of a muchness - very similar players, maybe Remy in the long run is more open to playing slightly out of position than Sturridge would be.

Remy plays a similar game to Studge, full of pace and off the shoulder of the last defender.

IMO Brendan has targeted him so we can rest Studge but not change our system, we can play 433 with either Studge or Remy as the central striker, then Lambert can offer us a different option like switch to play 2 strikers should we need it, we can be a bit more direct with Lambert in the team etc.

We will have good options if we sign Remy and our front 3 is sorted with lots of players who can rotate, I think if we also get Lovren in we'd just need a full back and another CM should Lucas go, I hope we splash on a top CM, we have the cash, liking the links to Isco.

Do you guys think LFC will buy an established 'star' player? Say £30m+. You have obviously got the cash and was interested in Sanchez....

Would you feel a little underwhelmed if there is no marquee signing to replace a player of the global stature of Suarez?

I think we'll make an effort to, whether we do or not is another matter. I am slightly underwhelmed at the moment, but that doesn't mean anything. I can see that the squad has much more depth and am excited to see Markovic and Lallana.

Yeah, it's very difficult to even think of many 'elite' players that might be available, Cavani, Di Maria...who else? I no nothing of Can or Markovic, hope they are shrewd investments

One thing which will be interesting is if BR makes a marquee signing. His secret last season, good honest professionals led by Gerrard and Suarez and no Champions League football. If he gets more egos in the team, will he be able to control them all? What happens if the squad can't manage CL and League?

Drink Little, I do think we need to buy a big name, we won't replace Luis as simply we cannot get a player of his quality in (unless Messi fancies a move to Merseyside )

I think we will try to get a big name in CM, with Remy looking very likely and the host of players we have who can play wide in the front 3 (Sterling, Couthino, Markovic, Lalanna, Remy* and even Studge) we don't need another.

So I see CM as a position where we lack real quality at the moment and for me that's a key area to strengthen especially with CL football.

I think Brendan will certainly try to get a top name in, if they come or not is a different story.

Do Madrid sell their young Spanish players? Seems like they prefer to recycle their foreign players every few years. Prem is awash with cash at the moment so who knows. He's certainly a quality player though.
