Im sorry! Do you know a tall, strong striker with pace and clinical stats that is available within our budget? Id love to know of his existence? The players that we've been linked to as giroud replacements are hardly clinical.
Not even sure why I'm replying to someone who describes our manager as Le Donkey...Completely clueless about football.

How is it another season of Le Donkey? Did you expect him to be sold? As I see it.. we now have 3 players capable of 20goals + in a season ... Giroud Walcott and Sanchez... Ramsey would have hit 20 last season without injury. Face the facts... 4 players staying fit and performing = potentially 80 goals. It's not ambitious to think that's possible. Not even taking into account goals from elsewhere i.e. ozil, cazorla, podolski...
Our first team is actually pretty good and just needs some solid back up in defensive areas... Asking for anything else is fine but it's just a bonus and not necessary to challenge for silverware.. Fitness and no long-term injuries is more pertinent than signing a "clinical" striker for £50m+ and waiting 4 months at least to see the results.

Shït article, for a Ĺ›hit footballer
Nicely done. Hone in one aspect of my article and exaggerate its importance! You should work for the Daily Mail.
"He has won 100 percent of the tackles he has attempted this season, won over half of his aerial 50-50 challenges (nine percent more than Robin van Perise, in fact) and made only one error during the entire 1,606 Premier League minutes he's played thus far."
Would you take RvP back this year if he had left amicably? 12 goals and 3 assists in the league last year... Or perhaps Rooney with his massive 17 goals in the league last season pray tell?
Instead of just criticising him, offer an alternative and enter a discussion...

I dont know why the OP is trying to justify Giroud to fellow gooners.
Does it really matter what someone on Ja thinks of Giroud?!!?
If Arsene decides Ryo Miyiachi will be our 1st choice striker, we can cry, moan, write a thousand articles on JA or wherever else, but the simple fact is it'll make no difference

Im comparing their stats when its clinical finishing you want to replace him with... How many misses did RvP and Rooney make last season? Two players you no doubt think would massively improve us yet Giroud scored 22 goals in an injury ravaged team, having to adjust to playing with different players almost every few weeks.
Im not trying to justify anything HFG, Im trying to bring some reason and rationality to a board that seems to have lost it completely in the past year or so... The ozil signing has made us way too expectant and greedy. Arsenal will never be a club who buy luxury players and I'm really glad that is the case.

Giroud can't hold the ball up. Thats why he has his back to the defenders the majority of the time to shield his initial bad touch. Most top class strikers ala RVP receive the ball side on. That way they they can create a yard of space for a shot or lay the ball on to a player running ahead.
By doing that Giroud is actually occupying Ozil's space driving him deeper into opposing holding midfield players.
There have been numerous games that have highlighted this problem. The FA Cup final is the most glaring example when Giroud was completely ineffective till Sanogo came on and Giroud started playing off him. This is what people who call for a 4-4-2 don't understand. To get best out of Giroud you actually need a player to hold the ball up and Giroud to link up play facing goal. But we already have that player - Ozil.
