I actually can't understand this crackdown and demand for legislation for e-cigs unless it is for taxation purposes. It genuinely looks like a viable and fairly healthy route to quitting normal cigs.

Its cut out the carbon monoxcide (sp) ? and the tar Admin, you still get the nicotine hit,but you can regulate that yourself, can honestly say Im starting to feel the benifits, feel abit of a tube sooking on a pen,but when you look around theres so many people doing it,pluss it gives you something to hold on to,for me thats part of the habbit to break, the lifting a ciggie up and down, sounds daft I know......but its working for me!

ive been on mine since last easter and went from 30 roll ups a day to none, feel a lot better too.

the flavours depend where you get them from.
get them off a market stall and they are rank, get them from a decent shop and they are bang on.

Something to do with the £12.3bn they make from tax on tobacco products I imagine...don't want to lose the slice of that pie!!

Dunc

Well done fella,keep it up!

Good point about the liquids, avoid the markets,I might try the other juices when Ive knocked the nicotine on the head, till then I,ll stick to the tobac flavour.

cheers mate

theres a shop near me does 4 bottles for2 quid, and they are nice flavours too.

they got a batch in with child safety caps but they didnt seal correctly so if they fell over they leaked out.

they were flogging 6 bottles for 15 quid.
i stocked up on them, stood them in a cupboard then when i needed one just put it in a bottle that didnt leak.... not rocket science

the smoking ban in Scotland has been one of the best things introcuded, I used to hate going on a night out and youd come home reeking of smoke

Still a saving there Dunc,I smoked golden v mate and got it on the cheap from Belgum but it was still costing me £35 every two weeks.

I had a leak on the first day,i was trying to pour the liquid into the battery

The pub trade and bingo halls in my opinion have suffered since the ban was put in place.

To be honest though that blue haze in bingo halls was one if the most grim things I had witnessed.

Though I don't smoke myself... e-cigs are in my opinion a complete game changer whose effects will start showing some pretty damming statistics in relation to the tobacco companies over the next decade or so as smoking related illnesses further decline.

I suspect the next legislative battle is gonna be on the obesity crisis and junk foods served to kids and adults alike.

For all the government's hoo-ha about quitting, NHS helplines, warnings on packs etc, they would sheit a brick if everyone quit.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

You would assume so. They will probably ramp the tax up as more and more people quit.

Aidenkirke...just a wee town full of tobacco shops, for the booze we stopped off in France on the way home,we could take 5 of us in the car for £15 return on the euro train if we travelled between 7pm and were back at 2am,some great trips and some not so great when customs in France took the lot, either that or they would strip the car ask loads of questions holding you back an hour or two then saying away you go
