He knows how to wind up supporters of other clubs, I take most of what he says with a punch of salt, he's like a pantomime villain.

Until he lifts a trophy the windips and petulant behaviour will continue!

He does this EVERY season.....

And EVERY season.....fans/media/some mangers fall for it....!!!

I like Jose.

I see the point Artur but as said above it's typical of all top-class managers.

Fergie did such things. I remember once, and he must've known some clubs - namely Liverpool - were sniffing around Charlie Adam, just before he said about Adam's corners being worth "10m alone" obviously doing Holloway a favour.

On another note, we could end up as hypocrites ourselves if we cast the first stone, so to speak. I'm sure Van Gaal will be firing a few of his own mind games to other managers......being it his first season, I'd expect him to arrive with a bang. Let him settle into the job and wait for fireworks. I reckon this season is going to be one of the best - providing we strengthen with at least another 3 top dogs.

Of course everyone knows he does it to wind people up. But it's a bit like say Patrice Evra biting someone in a game this week and Luis Suarez coming out and condemning him. Everyone would know he was just winding up his rival but he would still make himself look like a complete hypocrite.

True, it's the definition of hypocrisy. Just look at Chelsea as a club, and how they've spent over the past ten years and take into account what he said, it's a complete joke. But that's Jose. I think he does it for the controversy to bang his own drum.

Also it's possible mind games trying to unsettle our squad. I which case, it's a good thing, as he views us as a direct threat. And so he should. I think we will surprise a few this season, and shaw will too.

Expect Jose and LVG to clash. And for LVG to present his balls.

Jose is a WUM - an impotent WUM at that, at least to people with an ounce of common sense.

However, amidst the detritus, he does make a salient point. Paying in excess of 130k to a kid - if true - is further confirmation that the game continues to fall down a rabbit hole of destruction.

Agreed

And for LVG to present his balls.

thank fook for the BBC's/ITV's/Sky's censorship policy.

Just sounds bittter we got a top player ahead of him.

LVG dealt with it in the right way. Immediately took the sting out of it by saying "yeah, il talk to Jose about it"

Jose lost the plot a bit last season. However, it is worth remembering that as a tactician and manager he's one of the best. There is an element of wum about his remarks, but he has a point too.

As a Manchester United fan, I can't disagree with anything he said.

Did we pay to much for him? Yes.

Is he on ridiculous wages? Yes.

Would I expect a footballer at a club like ours demand a pay-rise because someone who's achieved nothing earns more? Yes.

However, football is about money. Nothing else!

Take it as a compliment. He actually sees you as a threat this season.

*He only cares about winning anyway so i doubt he gives two sh'ts about the ethics of wage expenditure.

I think it's safe to chalk this one up as a Jose win.

That Moureen clown also snatched Mikel away from u didn't he?

Chalk up as a Mourinho win? Hardly.

All people are doing is pointing out the hypocrisy of what he said and laughing about it. Wound up about it though? Come on get a grip. No-one is wound up everyone knows he's on the WUM. He's just not very good at it anymore as in this particular instance he has made himself look like a massive hypocrite. Do you honestly expect rival fans not to point out the irony in what he said? Come on mate think about it.

Pointing it out and being wound up about it are two totally different things.

Well of course Jose is a hypocrite. Do you want a medal?

This is the 6th article on those comments on the Utd board, of course we think you guys are wound up by them

It is bit hypocritical of Jose to talk about other players going to other clubs for more money but I think he was been honest at this stage.

If what he is saying about FFP is true, united are in a position to out muscles chelsea in transfer market. which is a great news for us
