Quintero to Arsenal?

I hope so Jenius, we seemed to have ignored the two most important positions so far.

Griezmann or Vela would have been perfect.

Seems like Wenger has gone for high end youth for the transfer window this time with an abundance of pace. Add the return of Campbell we will have a lot of pace going forward. I think Wenger will use the energy of Ramsey and Wilshere alongside the experience of Arteta and Flamini matched with when fit the dynamic Diaby to play to the 3 deeper roles. In time it can work because the front 4 will always have the flexibility to rotate and move with pace going forward (albeit when Giroud is not playing).

Griezmann or Vela

I agreed but Sanchez was that type of signing but better.

Though either of the 2 above Podolski would've been ideal

Next to exchange Podolski + Cash for Reus...well a man can dream

Also think Poldi will be used more centrally and allow us to use the pace of Alexis, Theo, Ox, and maybe Campbell. Also think if this Quintero transfer is true he could play wide or back up no.10 to Ozil

Key statement that.

If we build a team around Alexis, Theo/Campbell, Ozil/Oxlade and Santi(Quintero or someone else if Santi is sold)/Pod where does Giroud fit? Surely a backup should be able to come in and fit the system of movement and pace.

Would be interesting but if Wilshere can't displace Ramsey then he should be first back-up for both Ramsey and the No. 10 whichever becomes available

Podolski point is interesting, rather see if he can work up top as we have more adept players for the wings

All seems good on paper but for the majority of games where we don't need to set up to counter Giroud will be used and brings balance to that very tiny statured frontline. They'd all improve each other tbf.

Can he play defensive mid?

At 5 '6; the guy will fit between Yaya Toure's legs.

Not really. Its not possible to change style like that. You play the same way as much as you can so that you improve intra team play.

I don't think Giroud is the strong battering ram type anyway. Sanogo fits the bill far more if you want someone to fight for the ball.

I think that position is already taken.

With our injury record in midfield, we need all the warm bodies we can get.

If he's got a pulse we will sign him,he can share with Diaby.

I just remembered Quinteiro's 21 (won't need to be registered) hopefully we're buying him with a view of replacing Santi/Poldi next year.

Has talent but still wouldn't be wise shipping out 1 of those for him. We can afford to add him without taking up a squad role

Any reputable sources reporting it yet?

While I'm no West Ham fan, Big Sam did take care of Wilshere.
