In other news Jenks has joined West Ham on loan....

I didn't know it was secured today....

Happy it's not permanent for now

While I'm no West Ham fan, Big Sam did take care of Wilshere.

Huh when???????????????????????

Left footed? 5 foot 6? Welcome to Arsenal, Juan.

I can swear we sent Wilshere to Bolton for hardening a while back. Let me check my sources.

He did, but that was with Owen Coyle. Don't think we'll loan out a creative midfielder to a Sam Allardyce team

Owen Coyle was it? That means I've been giving Big Sam undue credit for Wilshere's mean streak. Owen always seems so nice.

Hopefully a load of trash. Why turn down Cesc and sign this guy? Pointless signing, it would only happen if Cazorla was sold who is much better.

Too much focus is placed on a quality First XI, while ignoring the 25-man squad. Our seasons frequently falter because of the huge gulf in class between our regulars and the satellite players. Successful campaigns are built on a solid supply of players willing to compete for places.

We have plenty of players who can play in his position. I'm all for strengthening the squad but what is the point of having 7/8 attacking midfielders when we have nobody who can cover behind them.

Because we burn through them like no one else within the first six months.
I do get your point however.

Erm, I think it's more to do with your rubbish record against the big teams

Look who plays in the big games, never have our best players fit for them.

Big year ahead for Hayden if things stay as they are. Both Per and Kos have just had very long campaigns and are screeching past 30. A bit unfair to expect another 50-game season from them.

Could be true GR, although I could have sworn all you're big guns were out at Old Trafford last season. You had Giroud at least

Nothing story.

Would be furious if we let Santi go, I'm astounded at how many of our fans are indifferent to him. He's a fantastic player - player of the season in 12/13, and affected by injury and being shunted around last season. And he's 29 ffs, not 35 or something - RVP was 29 when we let him go, that went well didn't it.

Not to mention that FA cup goal
There is no sense in replacing him.

We'll have Giroud "false-nining" your left-back, now that we've heard he's been on a "See food" diet.

I think a lot of people forget that in the 2nd half of last season, with Ramsey injured, Ozil in abject form, Wilshere being Wilshere of recent years etc, Cazorla, despite some really terrible performances (away to Chelsea and Spurs stand out) was pretty much the brightest spark in our midfield. I'm surprised by how many have turned against him. He's a player of immense ability and still a massive asset for us to have. I bet most here haven't watched Quintero play and yet, many are happy he's Cazorla's potential replacement.

Cazorla got 'The Arshavin Curse'.

He was invisible last season until that free-kick.....

Hoping for his first season form. Or he can go in Jan...

Would sell Pod as well. When Reus becomes available.

No, he wasn't. He had plenty of good games mixed with bad games.

And he's nothing like Arshavin was either. Arshavin couldn't even execute basic passing or dribble when he entered his period of rot. I've never seen an Arsenal player more wasteful with possession than Arshavin was. And don't even get me started on his workrate and stamina.

Are you hating on Arshavin Sheriff? He was class. Just misused.
