I'll be disappointed if we aren't top of the league at half 2 this Saturday
With our current squad I would say 5th.
Fighting for 4th along with Liverpool with Everton and Spurs not too far behind.
Realistically, 3rd or 4th.
TBH, that is all I wanted last year - this is a rebuilding period.
6th. Signings have been horse shît and no fear factor.

You should all remember Martinez 1st season at Everton and they achieved there highest points total in his first season, this is the manager league wise battled relegation usually at wigan.
5th or 6th..unless we sign the likes of Benatia,Vidal...
3rd to 6th if we wont sign a top CB and a CM, depending on form and injuries
1st - 4th if we sign a top CB and a CM within next three weeks
It's difficult to tell, but we need to hit the ground running that's for sure.
If we aren't in the top after 10 fixtures , we won't be in the top 4 come May IMO
Reality check Man utd averaged 86.5 points in SAF last 8 seasons in charge finishing in the top 2 in those seasons. Now we have shipped out our defence we still on preseason form have done ok in defence and limiting opposition shots wise. I think Man utd should finish at least 2nd but expect 1st spot. It would be unusual to see us with no europe finishing outside top 2.
I'm absolutely positive we'll finish in the top 4. Anything higher than 4th is just a bonus really.
Last season we were absolutely abysmal. It's hard for me to even imagine us playing much worse, yet we weren't miles away from fourth even then
People are also underestimating Man utd mentality. They will see this season as perfect chance to shut the doubters. This is probably the first time Man utd have been completely written off for the top 4 let alone the title. Add the fact we have no europe which basically means full focus on the league and less travelling.
I watched all the preseason games bar the inter milan game and we looked great in attack and defence apart from against Valencia. I also saw highlights of Inter Milan game and we had most of the chances and won 5-3 on penalty shootouts although we had 2 stonewall pens turned down in the game.

We all were last season too
We got Louis Van Gaal in. People need to chill. As long as Liverpool win nothing next season and finish outside top 4 they will go back to where they have been even fiish 7th or 8 and have no europe.
I think top 2 is realistically between City and Chelsea while Arsenal have now actually assembled a pretty decent squad, especially in midfield and I would say after their FA Cup win will have a bit more belief about themselves and are favourites for 3rd.
Liverpool losing Suarez was massive even if Rodgers is a good manager and can get his teams playing well as a team. He's made some shrewd signings and they will be full of confidence. On paper we have a better squad and less distractions but this is LVG's first season so it will most likely take him time to adapt. If LVG can get us playing well, we don't get too many injuries, Rooney and RVP can combine well then I would like to think we can pip Liverpool to 4th but it's gonna be hard. LVG might be in for a surprise at the competitiveness in the league, not sure the last time he was competing in a league with so many teams as good or better than his, it'll be new to him.
4th would be an over-achievement with this group of players.

Where do you think we will finish this season?
................
Ask me at the end of the window.
We're seriously lacking pace in our team though.
RVP,Rooney and Mata sounds great but who is going to stretch the opposition in that line-up.

Valencia and Young of course.

The idea isn't to stretch the opposition, but to have the guile to break them down.

Scary, the pace we do have in Valencia,Young,Hernandez and Welbeck are with players who still have either much to prove or are just generally not that good overall.
