agreed. Actually cantona and Zola were complete failures in Europe
It's probably Bergkamp for his vision, but Zola was the most underrated of the 3. There was an extra Maradonaesque dynamism and flair to his game that the other 2 didn't have. Had he played for Man U or Arsenal, he'd have been accorded greater acclaim.
Slightly biased, but in terms of influence, it has to be Cantona. He is the reason United transformed in to what they had become (until recently anyway)
Bergkamp and Zola were amazing players, but I think even without them, Arsenal and Chelsea would have been pretty much on the same course as they ended on.
Bergkamp didn't travel to the majority of European away game, I know he had/has a fear of flying but come on Dennis!
He did score my favourite non-United goal though.

Cantona scored some huge goals for United, practically won us the double in 1996 with his goals against in the second half of the season.
Zola was a genius, really liked him as a player, but i'd say:
Cantona, Bergkamp, Zola, not much between them though

We're talking about the same Bergkamp who widely hailed as the start of the new era for Arsenal? Who changed everything for our players, who had to play better because of him? Okay then.

A player's peak is generally accpeted to be between the ages of 26 and 29.
At their peak (3 seasons):
Cantona won 3 titles, 3 charity shields and an FA cup (across 2 different clubs)
Zola won nothing
Berkamp won nothing
If the question was"which player would you take past their prime?" or "which player would you have preferred to have for thier entire career?" then the answer may be different.
But only one of those three was a winner in his prime.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or perhaps..... the arbitrary age for "peak" which you have decided on doesn't apply to all players?
Rooneys peak was 18
Owens peak was 18
Friedals peak was 47
Why are you taking 26-29 as the judging point?
All great players but Bergkamp was a touch above.
A true genius.
All great players and unfair to compare them.
A bit biased i know but have a look at this......

I chose 26-29 as those ages were always considered to be an average player's peak.
I realise that it changes from player to player.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you agree then that your comparison was pointless?
