Reus and Muller turned us down.

Muller said in Bild today that he turned down United as well earlier in the summer.

There is absolutely no point in chasing after players that do not want to come.

---------------

This is probably one of the best things about this transfer window. Every player we have signed, actually wanted to come to United.

Exactly guvnor. I said something similar earlier but it seems easier to some on here to Simply blame Woodward and brand us a joke rather than consider players might not want the move.

When Reus signed for BVB, he said he decided to go to a club that can guarantee a challenge for titles, and Champions League football. I don't think this will change for a player who has improved.

He'll sign for us, in January,or next season.

I speak as a Liverpool fan and we are in the CL, I never believe that players are that bothered about CL football, of course it is nice and they all want to play in it but for me they only care about how much they will get paid. Generally speaking the clubs involved in CL football would pay the best wages and other clubs not involved like yourselves this year.

Utd are obviously going through a transitional phase so players might be weary of moving there as it does look like you need a lot of quality players bringing in to challenge.

I'm talking about players paying their own buy-out clauses, to come and play for us.

You could say they're just sooooo desperate to get out of their current clubs. Like when Cesc went to Barca.

Not surprised at the wages on offer for a LB that has barely played a season in PL, a midfield player that gets no action for Spain and was struggling at times to get in Bilbao's team and now an average Argentinian who was hardly pulling up trees at Sporting. Sure of course they wanted to play for us !

But you didn't say that though.
Who has paid their own buy out clause to come to Man U?

----------------------

What wages does he earn?

***************

a midfield player that gets no action for Spain

-----------------

Isco doesn't get any game time at all for Spain either, does that make him poor?

***************

I don't know anything about Rojo, he could be poor.

Herrera.

The Muller quotes are further proof that we simply don't have the pulling power of other big clubs, that or Ed is crap at convincing them.

Ok, so 1 player, not players. And he's decent, nothing special, coming from Bilbao to Man U for £30mil and much bigger wages, so for him, it's more of an investment, which he knows he'll get back through his wages and i'm guessing some of the transfer fee too. Not exactly pushing the boat to come to you is it?

I heard that reus turned us down as he was tapped up by barca and was awaiting them to swoop in and bid for him. Luis Enrique came in and be fancied Suarez more so got him Instead and it left reus in lumber.

Did Cesc Fabregas want to go to Chelsea?

I don't get this "A PLAYER MUST WANT TO PLAY FOR UNITED" for us to sign them.

You sign a professional, and as a professional they will do their best.

Do you think Herrera has £30m knocking about?

My goodness.

Any club not in the champions league would struggle to attract the best players in Europe. It's not rocket science.

Pulling power, Muller said we offered and I quote 'astronomical wages' and he still opted to stay at Bayern. Don't blame him, one of the best teams right now and he's been with them since he was 14.

Who cares? Herrera activated his own release clause. He paid part of the fee to force his move to United.

I am sorry I said players, and not player...

And he keeps getting better with them.

No reason why he would want to leave even if lvg did give him his big break.

And i'm sure he either received a large deposit in his bank a few days previously, or his bank gave him a bridging loan knowing that the loan will be repaid immediately by MUFC or he has got that money back in his first months salary at MUFC.
