I have been giving it to them on their board about it,
but I have a horrible feeling that he will come good for them. Crikey if he does work out the PL race and particularly the top 4 race will be very interesting

I think it is a signing that could keep them in the top 4 but i doubt it makes them title challengers.
Dr Peters will have his hands full trying keep Mario from not reacting to provocation.

I've been thinking that when you consider the alternative to him was Remy, I would have preferred them to get Remy. It's a gamble but then so were Sturridge and Coutinho. Well actually I think Coutinho is very overrated but still
Yay another Balotelli article from a rival fan
Sturridge was not a gamble, it was a feckin no brainer and unfortunately there were none at Chelsea at the time we sold him.
Will they really play him with Sturridge and drop Coutinho? Or will it mean Lallana not getting a game?

Yet another scouser on the Chelsea board.
Liverpool fans were making constant Mourinho articles last season.

You've got a song about Chelsea; and you're having a dig at a Chelsea fan voicing an opinion on a signing?
Locol.....what do you think of this signing and did you need to sign another striker?
If this happens it will either be a masterstroke or an epic fail. You only seem to get extremes with Balotelli.
Biggish
Sturridge was always going to score goals. It was obvious.
I just find 2 things baffling about our fans in the Sturridge case.....
1) Booing him when he was making a rare cameo at WBA.
Then.........
2) Actually taking exception to Sturridge's reaction to the jeers from fans who supported the club he played for.
BR probably sees some similarities to when he signed Sturridge. He is taking a gamble that Balotelli is now at an age where he is mature enough to change................only time will tell on this one
What this signing does mean is Brendan will keep neglecting his defence to occupy Sterling, Coutinho, Danny and Balo.
They will continue to get done on the counter, especially in the CL.
That is true Kings, but I like Rodgers for not playing safe.

Fair article Biggish.
We certainly needed another forward & the money was available for one. At that price I think it's a risk worth taking, I'm happy with the signing as it stands.
Yes, it could fall on its face but it wont be for want of trying on our part & he must know he needs to sooner rather than later, offer more & knuckle down to make the most of his talent.
It's a fascinating signing & he can add a lot.
I also agree that he could help consolidate a top four spot, crucial this year as far as I'm concerned for us. If he fires he could make us an outsider for a title bid (although I do believe you guys & City will be too strong for the rest).
He's adaptable & funny enough could be a big plus in away games with his abiltiy to hold play up, he could add that bit of power in the big games at the Bridge or in tough European games.
Looking at the positives only mind!

So do i, especially when we face them and im sure whichever big team they get in the group stage will pick up a liking for BR very quickly.
Any well drilled and balanced team will beat Liverpool.

We definitely needed another striker, I liked the idea of Sturridge up top as a lone striker, but it's most likely Balo will play with him and I prefer Balo to the other strikers we've been linked to.
