Thomas was an egotistical abuser of patent law who was overhyped because he was American.

We'd better get back because it'll be dark soon, and the rumours mostly come at night. Mostly.

Well he's a confirmed journalist in South Africa. So not one of these ITK people so could be some truth to it.

Him, Alexis, Walcott and Özil in attack... Wood!

A journalist in South Africa? Well he must be very much in the loop in terms of a transfer between two European clubs for a South American player...

Woof! ** and that's quite the typo.

Very excited it seems....

Wouldn't you be at that prospect? Pace, power, art. That would be an attack to be feared by just about anyone.

Oh and to have Ramsey popping up with goals regularly on top of that.

But they are only twitter rumours fuelled by some random twitter guy who, although verified, appears to be after his fifteen minutes.

I still prefer a mobile, pacy striker for our attack but if we do want to persist with a CF then Cavani would be perfect imo.

Had a bit of an off season in France, though he still scored more than any of our strikers, playing mainly from the right wing. If he's really available for £40m it has to be worth it.

And the best part of it is we get rid of Giroud in the process.

Keep Giroud you fool. As a back up he's perfect.

No he's not. Theo, Joel, Alexis and Yaya deserve chances more than Giroud.

Walcott would be backup.

So we should sell our only striker with a record of scoring in the premiership? Alright then. Giroud won't be leaving.

Just seen that Di Maria has formally asked to leave RM. If PSG are his preferred destination, could this open the door for Cavani?

PSG wouldn't sell Cavani without cover.

Clearly yes.

Someone has to go.

Agree though, expect if we do sign an attacker it would / should be Podolski to be shown the door if possible.

Although his attitude is to be admired, he's shown precious little in two years to justify his 90k (or 100k, depending who you listen to) wages.

Apparently Juve are interested in him.

Wenger doesn't like Podolski on the pitch, so you're right in that he would feel the chop.

A fake sky sports account tweeted the exact thing as him couple of hours before. Might have got his info from that.

I'm not really a fan of Podolski on the pitch either.

He's got a terrific shot on him and I think he's the best finisher at the club, but when those are your only two good attributes it will always come unstuck against the better teams.

If it wasn't for his wages, I think he'd be a good player to have as a backup, though. We've so often been in the case of 70 minutes in against weaker opposition struggling to create anything, he's a really good one for finding a goal out of nothing.

All that being said, I'm pretty sure we'll keep Pod and Giroud, and sign a CB and that's the window done.

Most likely. Hopefully it is true. We just have to wait to see that smile from Wenger in a press conference. You know the one. That'll be when we know or not.
