What would be your first choice line up VC?

Di Maria is very much a luxury signing IMO

...........

What a moron.

I don't do line ups.

I really have no clue how we are going to line up for any given game.

"I really have no clue how we are going to line up for any given game."

That's exactly why I asked, I find your first eleven and tactics very hard to predict at the moment!

I was just wondering whether LVG would play Di Maria as a wingback or change away from the 352. I'm assuming the latter.

Think you need more mobility than Carrick offers for that lineup Guvnor, your midfield will still get overrun.

That's exactly the position I expect you to buy though over the next week!

There is every possibility LVG will use him as he used Robben in the world cup.

How would kroos or fabregas single handily change us? None off them our match winners and I would bet a substantial amount of money on us still suffering if we had fabregas in our midfield instead of Herrera.

It's just their roles in the team. Their job is to dictate the game, control the midifled, give the attackers a platform to do their thing.

We could sign Ronaldo and messi, the bottom line is, if we can't control the midifield, they will just have to feed off scraps or counter attacks at best

Good point VC. He'd suit that.

I agree.

Carrick really shouldn't be a first choice player. We need to move on from him now.

Clearly wishful thinking. Kroos and especially Cesc is on another planet to Herrera.
To suggest those guys aren't game changers just speaks volumes of the whoever posted this tosh.
Embarrassing comment.

I think it's more the fact that it's the defensive part of the midfield that needs looking at more than a Fabregas or Kroos signing dubbed.

Dubbed

I don't think you are quite getting what he is saying.

My guess is he is saying that untill we solve the DM position, Fabregas wouldn't make us that much better.

Great minds and all that VC

posted on 25/8/14

Fair enough. But he did say none of those were game changers. Which is laughable in itself.

Only a fabregas or kroos type CM could've potentially single handedly changed us due to them being able to control games. Di Maria is very much a luxury signing IMO

Erm, okay?

Which Manchester United have you been watching?!

That one is very laughable and utterly stupid.

Our entire midfield is broken. Our CMs don't offer defensive protection, they don't offer any physicality, they can't control the midfield and they're not creating chances for our attackers.

A Kroos and Fabregas alone won't have solved all these problems but they would've more than sovled a couple of them.

Herrera isn't as good as those 2 but he is certainly better than what we currently have so he was a good enough signing. Just a shame we paid more for him than Chelsea and Real paid for Fabregas and kroos

Ah. There we have it. The mystery poster shows himself.
Please refrain from attributing the word 'daft' to someone else after your mare.

Fact of the matter is. A player like Cesc or Kroos would take your midfield to another level. Sure you need to shore up the midfield with a defensive mid too. But from what I've seen from your matches, you severely lack creativity from the CM position, along with the flanks too of course. You've addressed that to a degree with Di Maria now.

And of course Cesc ain't the same type of match winner as Di Maria mainly cause they're completely different players who play in different positions. But Cesc can change a game in a blink of an eye with a pass or goal. So it's idiotic to suggest he ain't a gamechanger.

Fabregas would have been perfect for Man U..Moyes knew this very well..The amount of chances he would create with RVP, Rooney and Mata would be unbelievable..He would need someone to do the donkey work for him ..and Man u are stocked with those type of players..I think Fabregas would have suited Man U better then any team in Prem.
