Your agruement to the assement issue is that we have increased the worth of any potential players we buy. Sure.
But, if LvG has seen 3-4 current players who he thinks should be in the squad and could improve under him, that might have saved us £100m anyway.
Swings and Roundabouts.
Better to just be happy that we are signing a great player (Di Maria), have bought last season's best LB (Shaw), have a great addition to the CM (Herrera) and have a tenacious CB/LB (Rojo).
and we might not be done!
"oh, but the price". I'd rather every single penny of profits got spent on players than anything else.

My god people on here get butthurt easily
............
No, they don't.
They are pointing out to you what an exceptionally ill thought out article you have written.
...............
This was merely an article voicing my opinions on our transfer window this summer
............
And it is a sh i t article, as has been pointed out to you by every single person who has read it, and could be ars e d to indulge you with a reply.
would much rather we had signed a midfielder and defender instead of di maria
however its hard not to get excited about a player like di maria
i just hope this time next year we are not left with the same problems, i.e. we brought mata and di maria but cant get the ball to them in dangerous positions due to a still poor midfield
a midfielder minimum this week please, even if its someone like schneider or alonso to tick us over for a year or two
I actually feel LVG has done well to assess the squad in the time he has had. The window is still open, and he's already bought (if there are no last minute fuc£ ups) a truly world class player, a solid midfielder from what I have seen so far in Herrera, and a kid with bags of potential in Shaw. I can't pass judgement on Rojo from the games in the world cup only, so we'll have to see how that pans out. More signings are needed obviously, but like I said, the window is still open.
It may be fashionable to blame Woodward but I'm saying it may be down to LVG too.
..............
Finally you have used some common sense.
So why were everyone one of you complaining just a few days ago about what a wreck of a club we have become in the transfer window?
Or what about after the Swansea result. This board was full of articles saying how bad our players are and how they are not united quality and that everyone already knows that yet we aren't doing anything about it .
I was not complaining. I personally am tired of the silly articles on this board. This one is another one
You may need to rethink the definition of "everyone".

I wasn't, so it wasn't everyone. And I haven't seem MUDD, Macca or Dazza complaining. Not sure Ji Sung has either.
roll on midnight next monday
getting sick of this transfer window
You can't deny most posters on here were discontent, to put it mildly, with our current crop of players and our reluctance to do anything about it in the transfer window..
Come on, I'm not a poster who usually just hates, I'm a poster who is merely questioning the way we have gone about this summer's transfer window!

this much is true, and the silence is deafening from some of them.... But that's what i've come to expect.
People who are overly negative on here are in a win win situation.
If they are negative and we don;t sign things and lose games... They are self satisfied and are happy to shout about how they knew this would happen.
If they are negative and we end up signing world class players and winning games, they can just say they are happy to be proved wrong... Or even somehow think their complaining helped to change things
What are the benefits of giving proven average players a chance
-------------------------
To that I ask you what are the benefits of rushing into signings and ending up with more average players?

Not most posters, just the immature needy ones who are a product of todays society who need ebverything right away.
The sensible ones know the window isn't shut, and even if we signed no one else, there is b ugger all we can do about it.
Whineing is for little girls.

This. Other than the misspelling of whining.
I personally don't think rushing into signing fabregas or kroos would've been much of a risk tbh, these are proven world class players who were available for relatively cheap Prices.
Of course there's always the argument that LVG did want them but they chose other clubs but I get the impression LVG never wanted them as he signed Herrera before either of those 2 moved.

they also play in the same position as Herrera. So wouldn;t have been the shrewdest move.
Now, we'd all love Fabgregas as backup to Herrera, or vice versa, but it simply weren't gonna happen.
I trust LVG as well, never in the article did I say I wanted him out or anything ridiculous like that.
It just irks me a bit hearing him saying we have an unbalanced squad after our last 2 poor excuses in his post match interviews when it was he who chose to not sign any of his targets for the first 6 weeks of his reign.
Other than that, I think he will come good

I think he was preocupied with a little competition in brazil for some of those 6 weeks
Personally, i would make the transfer window close before the season starts.

Di Maria is quality, he's going to make a huge difference to our pedestrian attack. Definitely the best signing we've made this summer by a country mile, Herrera also a very good signing, shaw i think is abit overrated.
Hopefully we can get back to some genuinely exciting counter attacking with a player with his pace and ability.
