2) get out of the group phase

1 is granted and 2 ... Gives us a great opportunity

For me it could hardly be better! We've got the glamour tie that I wanted, which will get Anfield absolutely rocking (although we'll probably lose about 4-0), and then two very beatable opponents including the fairytale team Ludogorets Razgrad. The only downside is that Ludogorets is a long journey away but at least we don't have to got to Russia or even further, to Cyprus. Brilliant draw.

Easy 18 points

We should get out of that and Madrid at Anfield will.be great....very good draw.

Madrid best just not show up

Real Madrid at Anfield will be very tasty. The last time we faced them was a great night and hopefully this will be the same. The Bulgarians should be good too even though they only play in front of 8,000 supporters. Very much looking forward to it all.

I don't think that draw could have gone much better for you guys.

Brilliant draw.Real Madrid will beat Basle and Bulgarian team, that leaves us 2nd place. YUM. Just a shame Alonso won't be playing.

There's a lot of uncertainty about where Ludogorets' home games will be played. They played their qualifier at the national stadium in Sofia but apparently even that might not be up to scratch.

Don't under estimate Basel they have proven in the last few years they are a decent side and most of their players have allot more European experience then ours do.

That's going to be a very tough away game but a good test for us, 4 points from the 2 Basel games will be a good return.

We may end up losing to Madrid but we will definitely give them a game. Ramos and Pepe are very liable to mistakes and if we can somehow keep it tight however unlikely that may be we could get something from the game at Anfield.

(though Basel have a decent record in recent years, don't they?.....beating Chelsea, that kind of thing)

Basel tend to turn up for the big games. Beat Chelsea twice in the group stages last year but drew twice with Steaua Bucharest, that sort of thing.

One team that I didn't want was Real. Glamour tie and all that but if we don't set up more defensively than we usually do it could be embarrassing.

Basel knocke dup out of CL before too, good draw but we have to play very well to beat them home and away

Real Madrid v Ludogorets could be a bloodbath

You'd imagine that Real will win six times and Ludogorets will lose at least five times, which leaves us and Basel. 4 points from those two games should be enough.
