Not bad at all being at home in the final game. Quite possible that we'll need something from the game & better it be at Anfield, that Basle.
Their pitch in December wouldn't be nice to play on I suspect.
Was hoping you have an away game in your last game. We play you at Old Trafford the weekend after it.
First game at home, good way to return to the competition! Should be able to get off to a good start as well.
Shame ITV only show one CL game per round nowadays. We'll only be on once or twice in the group stage.
Could be winner takes all last game....

Darren,
We all know what happened the last time we went to Old Trafford after a Champions League tie!
That was when you knew how to play as well
Yeah but I think we had one as well.

Dream Draw for us, I honestly couldn't be happier. We get out glamour tie against RM at Anfield, and it will be a wonderful occasion although we will get beaten in the end but hopefully we can jangle a few nerves for a while. Also backing us to progress through the group in second place ahead of Basel.

Heard he could look after himself as well, if not a bit mad at times!
Yes great gesture by him though, I've heard thats a very good read by the way?
Obviously for you as a Madrid fan but I imagine it would unveil a lot about the big two rivalry.

Sorry Major, had just signed out last night.
Yeah, the book's thoroughly recommendable - the first half (or two-thirds) especially imo. The last part focuses on more recent and obviously better known events, and for my liking dedicates too much space to the Mourinho/Guardiola rivalry.
Nevertheless, the first half as I said is brilliant. While it's quite a humorous book overall and tells a number of amusing yet little-known anecdotes, it's also very well researched, easily making it the best study I've read to date of the history behind the Madrid-Barça rivalry.
Most of what I'd read previously and even most of the received wisdom in Spain resorts to worn clichés and factual innacuracies that I had long known to be misconstrued. Lowe debunks a lot of these myths and truisms, offering what I feel is a far more level-headed perspective that gives both clubs their fair share of criticism (which is most definitely due) and praise.

Certainly interesting that. Lowe is pretty good to be fair.
I wouldn't mind having a look down the line, I don't pretend to have a great interest in it but I'd like to understand more about the dynamic between the clubs, in the earlier days of La Liga, going back to the Franco era and Di Stefano furore.
Regardless its the most fascinating rivalry in the sport.
After last Sundays game the draw has cheered me up. Nothing less than an attitude of, " we will beat them all, home and away" will do, and it is possible, dependant upon who Brendan picks for the team.
Last Sunday Glen actually put in not a bad shift. But with him and Lucas, who didn't even make it to the bench (transfer to Napoli still on?) not playing, our chances will improve.

What went on before, pre- and post-Civil War is equally interesting too.
One of the little-known funnies is that just two or three years before the Di Stefano saga, Kubala was reportedly on his way to join Real Madrid when two Barça directors passing themselves off as Madrid officials got the player to sign for them instead.
