He was fantastic, don't know what game you were watching, he wasn't 'peripheral' at any point in the game.

It was a brief camera shot of him but I just noticed on motd2 after Moreno scored a brilliant goal of not only his own making but also in a position he had every right to take the shot on and let's face after a run like that you've usually got one thing on your mind particularly as Sturridge was being tracked but Sturridge didn't react well.

As the ball nestled in the bottom corner every player should be elevated their team are 3-0 up away at Spurs yet Sturridge threw his arms down as if in disgust and his head dropped, literally as the ball hit the back if the net, that was his natural reaction.

Talk about putting yourself before the team. It wasn't even a poor decision by Moreno he got away with, he created a great position for himself and make the right call for me.

Great attitude from Sturridge. Unhappy he dident get the ball... Happy the team scored.

All strikers need a bit of attitude..

I thought he was excellent, looked really sharp. Thought he integrated with the team well actually and if anything it was Balotelli that kept the ball too long.

One example in particular when Sturridge was looking for a slide ball onto his left foot, was pointing where he wanted it and Mario just kept hold of the ball.

It's a shame that Balotelli's chances didn't fall to Sturridge, if they had I'm convinced he'd have taken one. At least one.

For me he's undoubtedly our main man.

I'm not bitter, just saying what I saw, have a look for yourself. I really don't care about Sturridge, most Chelsea fans felt it was a mistake to let him go, I never liked him at Chelsea. He's a good player but I thought it was a poor reaction and given the immediate timing of it a genuine one, was annoyed Liverpool scored and not him.

I thought some of the hold up play by Daniel was brilliant today, including his fancy footwork. I will never be a Sturridge fan as his demeanour on the pitch is dire but I cant deny he is becoming a very good player.

If he had an eye for a pass he would easily be classed as one of the top 10 players in the world. Obviously his job is to score goals but he is very skillful.

His passing range is excellent. Watch his cross for Balotelli's first chance and to Henderson for the 1st goal

His performance today was the absolute opposite of lazy, selfish and head down football!

What a player, his ball for the first goal took out fur players, thats after he avoided a challenge and carried it forward from halfway.

His ability on the ball was great, especially when he got that rocket of a shot off out of nothing, beating two players with a dummy and bit of skill!

He's become an excellent forward and has he potential to get better

Im not saying his passing is poor, all I am saying is if that part of the game came naturally to him he wuld be a very very good support striker.Im not convinced he is a natural number 1.His game is suited to drift on the periphery of the box than to be stuck in it.

Sturridge has attitude problems.I don't have to go into depth explaining it but I'm sure most people are aware of it.

The same things Mario is accused of in terms of disrupting team moral, Sturridge has those traits but obviously BR and his team mates have learnt to handle it.

Look Im not saying he is a poison but compare Sterlings relationship with his team mates as compared to Danny then its obvious what Droog is on about.

ultimately he is a good player so none of these things matter

yes but there were other positions where he got the ball on the edge of the box and could have done better. Not knocking him as he had a fine game. The eye for a pass aspect just doesnt come naturally to his game.

Nothing wrong with his performance today imo, looked lively, got involved, hold up play good, skill pace power determination, good few shots/passes/crosses.

He does score a lot of goals, get a lot of assists, beat a lot of players and links up the play fantastically well!

He's also usually happy, smiling, dancing, joking or concentrated!

Guys, I am not criticising Daniel. I am merely, as a committed fan, asking my fellow Reds their views on his performance. Please don't shoot me, again. Put on the spot, I'd say our striker is a somewhat sensitive chappie. There's no need for him to declare who he is or where he is in the team. He's a fantastic striker. But I think back to the days of Rushy. Now, there was a player. Sensitive? Temperamental? Girl? I only hope that Daniel is still fully committed to the club and not himself.
