So lets just let the gooooners be the negative spoilt brats in north london, and get behind our side, and they will do us proud.

Gooooooners negative spoilt brats?????????
Welbeck is the next Henry don't you know!!!!!
Not often I agree with you but the over reaction last night was silly!
Yes I believe we should of signed an attacker as I think we will be short of goals but this could be addressed in Jan!
Very happy with our recruitments and very happy with Poch
not happy that we didnt get a striker of course cant see were the goals will come from especially against the top sides unless Poch can coach some out , also selling Sandro to premier league side not good and £6m surprised at that not a Levy deal

What's that Stambouli like? Is he a destroyer or more of a deep lying playmaker?

No one knows
Poch got what 15 goals out of Lambert last season, he can get the same out of Ade (if he's in the mood) or certainly Kane who looks like a very good player.
The midfields movement is key and in the first half v us I thought you moved the ball well and it was a very even game, it was the soft pen that changed the game in our favor. We were the better side but we are a good bit further along in our development, already you look like a better side under Poch then you have in the last 12-18 months.

Good article Agree with pretty much all that you say.
The one big negative for me was selling siggy. Honk we'll see what he's capable of this year, when played ok his correct position each week.
Now to make me really happy... Put faith in Soldado as out first choice striker and see what he can do.
Bus typos! Honk = think. Ok = in
I agree with most of what is said in the OP.
A good assessment of the transfer window, but I would take issue with this constant bashing of Spurs fans and their expectations. That is what being a fan is all about, thinking your club is the best and can compete with the best.
I think the money coming into the game now and coming into certain clubs in much greater abundance is causing real problems for those clubs outside of the "top 4 or 5".
We see those clubs easily able to attract some of the (perceived) best players in the world and we can only sit, fully aware of the business done throughout the window, and fully aware of the quality of that business, which is pretty average to say the least, and hope that some marquee signing, some coveted player will chuck up on our doorstep. It didn't happen.
And for those of us who see we have a pretty average squad, it does not fill us with great hope and excitement for the future.
As for the striker business, I for one am not clamouring for a striker. I think that we will score goals if only we can be more creative in and around the last third and I do not see that. I personally felt that Holtby could have given us some of that but he was out of favour and was sent out on loan..........again.
And whilst I think the "club should know better than us" I think as fans we are entitle to have hope, excitement during a game, and when we perform badly or not good enough to compete, then it is easy to blame the club for not giving us that satisfaction and to think that perhaps they might know more than us, but not as much as other more successful clubs.
Because it is only going to get worse, this polarisation of the good and less good clubs, and it is all very well having a super new stadium and being in a position to finance it but the trick is to make it a symbol of quality football, playing the best teams in the world, not winning in a last gasp attempt against the likes of West Ham.
Completely agree Chronic we were a pacey forward away from a quality transfer window, instead it has been a very good one.
Addressed all the key areas and bought in a lot of talent for the future.
I think everyone's in agreement aren't they?
Everybody thinks we had a good window overall and everybody thinks we needed a spark up front.
I was sat watching TDD hoping for something. Think most were? Where's this meltdown?

Yeah your Mum took a bit of an unexpected...ummm....pounding
Well if our strikers have stinkers this season and/or their missed chances cost us points then the criticism will be justified.
