Because deep down most people understand Welbeck leaving is to help benefit his own career. We're happy for him!
Arsenal fans are ridiculously selfish and expect their footballers to never achieve something meaningful in their career, but rot at a club that can't compete for the big honours.
... That's my opinion anyways
Because RVP is an Arsenal great who was at the club for 8 years and contributed a lot in terms of memories. He was easily the best player Arsenal had during our barren run and scored lots of world class goals.
He was a youth project who Wenger and Arsenal developed into a deadly striker and then he left. RVP was an important part of Arsenal history and Arsenal fans will naturally keep talking about him and pining for his contributions.
Because Arsenal fans are bitter and United fans aren't?
I cannot imagine rvp as a left winger. Too slow for me.

Welbeck will never reach RVP's level, which is at one point the best striker in the world.
A bit annoyed though that we sold to a rival club.

he was hardly going to move to Luton was he. Its a compliment to the academy that if he left United he would move to a CL club
The new Ian Wright according to Piers Morgan
Another reason arsenal fans don't like RVP is because he was injured for a lot of his time at arsenal. The club stuck by him, when a lot may have sold him, all while paying him a good wage. Then as soon as he had first proper full top class season, he left. People felt annoyed that he couldn't have repaid a bit more of the loyalty that arsenal showed him throughout his career. Especially when wenger was saying for him to stick around another year, then the club could afford to buy top players. That's the reason why a lot don't like him.

There is a pain and it never goes out and it is watching Van Persie celebrate a goal in a United shirt.
Yet there is no pain in seeing Welbeck's huge smile as he scores in Arsenal red.
Why is that?

Spurs were available

But it's Danny's career. He should choose the team he feels will be best for HIM.
