If Rosberg can stay out of Hamiltons back end for 53 laps then id expect a Merc 1/2.
Last year Vettel, Alonso, Webber
I think this year: Hamilton, Rosberg, Riccardo
I have a sneaky feeling we will see a Hamilton, Bottas, Rosberg podium
Bottas has great shout...4 podiums in 5 races
He's really showing Massa how to throw the Williams about this year.
Massa has been disappointing this season
Nando will do a massive first stint just so the tifosi can see the Scuderia lead for a few laps
Alonso could pull something off, you never know, Kimi as well.
Expecting a subdued Rosberg and some mighty Williams!
Tyres look to be an issue for some to turn on so we could have cars out of place in quali.
Ferrari have been incredibly underwhelming. You're right about Alonso, think he did it last year to lead for 3 laps?!
Especially with the mediums and the hards
They'll have something lined up for this GP...Nando without a win since last May?
Would be interesting to see if they could get Ross Brawn back
Do not count out the Torro Rosso's as well. They are mighty in a straight line
Looks to be a 1 stop race so I'd think Ferrari would be to far behind to inherit the lead when the fast guys pit. Unless something happens of course
Force India have really gone backwards, shame
M.U.D.D. I like your creative use of google translate for this article Ha.
Onto the subject, I am expecting (as many other do) a Mercedes engine dominance this weekend due to the 67-70% full throttle nature, given the dominance of the Mercedes engine this year over that of Renault and Ferrari.
I wouldn't find it hard to believe that Alonso is going to have a cracker of a weekend, in a season where he has struggled, he has produced drives worthy of greatness (Hungary being a big example) and I think the Tifosi is the motivation he will need, however, should the Prancing Horses falter this weekend, it will influence his decision on contracts and teams.
My predictions:
Qualifying Pole Position: Lewis Hamilton 1:24.52
Race Podium: Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Valterri Bottas
I am half italian, you cad!! I shall have you know
Fair enough! What are your predictions for pole and podium?
Pole, will go with a Hamilton 1.22.7
Podium
Hamilton, Bottas, Díck Dastardly
Check out this headline on the Beeb: "Lewis Hamilton queries decision not to investigate Rosberg collision"
Now, Hamilton's actual quote;
Hamilton said: "Can we race a lot closer and if the other guy is out of the race nothing will happen? Or if it happens again will there be a penalty?
"We are always asking to be able to race. But there is a fine line."
The press do love to stir the pot don't they
Evening gents (and ladies if any post here)
N606 why do you expect a subdued Rosberg? I was thinking the opposite to try and push the point he was presumably trying to make at Spa.
However I think Hamilton will also be on fire and providing he can hook up that one lap in Q3 he should get Pole with Rosberg 2 and Alonso 3.
My podium prediction is Hamilton, Ricciardo, Bottas.

The power units used before this race weekend can be found here
http://www.fia.com/sites/default/files/championship/documents/Document3_0.pdf
The penalties are as follows (Sporting Regs 28.4 c)
Should a driver use more than five of any one of the elements a grid place penalty will be imposed upon him at the first Event during which each additional element is used.
Penalties will be applied according to the following table and will be cumulative
Replacement of a complete power unit - The driver concerned must start the race from the pit lane
The first time a 6th of any of the elements is used - Ten grid place penalty
The first time a 6th of any of the remaining elements is used - Five grid place penalty
If a grid place penalty is imposed, and the driver’s grid position is such that the full penalty cannot be applied, the remainder of the penalty will be applied at the driver’s next Event. However, no such remaining penalties will be carried forward for more than one Event.
The same punishments are applied to the 7th etc.

Speculation here WTCBU, but do you think Hamilton would still be on 3's if he hadn't had the engine fire in Hungary?
