Stambouli and Fazio to start?

Good call!

I think if Poch feels they are fit & ready to go, then they should play.

Fazio, at 6ft 5in gives us a towering presence in both defence & at set pieces, doesn't take prisoners either.

Stambouli is quick & steely, should suit Poch's style of play completely.

Chuck 'em in! We looked terrible defensively against Liverpool, so we haven't that much to lose ...

Even as a fan of Kaboul (hi Chronic ) I think he needs to be dropped after his shocker against pool.

Same can be said of Rose and Bentaleb who were ineffective to say the least.

Chuck em in!

Not dropping Dier? He was worse than all of them?

( not that I would be dropping him personally )

Not sure Hengy, each on their own merit.. I'd definitely drop Kaboul from CB assuming we have cover there because he might be getting complacent being made captain, plus a rest could do him good.

Rose just because he's not good enough and Bentaleb to avoid burnout/backlash from fans.

Dier is young and new to the league.. if he's fit he starts ahead of Naughton imo

100% both should start. Kaboul is an absolute liability right now and was the same last season. His injuries have clearly taken it's toll and I wouldn't have Kaboul anywhere near the 1st 11. Back up option fine but fazio was clearly bought to partner Vertonghen with Dier getting the experience off these guys. I would also start Stambouli instead of bentalab

Well great, you clearly don't know spurs like we do and Kaboul is a liability so I don't see how fazio is no better considering he was a important part of the Sevilla European cup winning team. I don't know much of fazio personally but reading up on him he seems like a solid player according to certain sources so I will trust them

These days, or against us in the last game? "

No he was a disaster waiting to happen at QPR and at westham. It was only because we won the games that it was brushed under the carpet. Twice he nearly cost us against QPR.

Yes. Kaboul looks fragile. Bentaleb looks a bit jaded.

The way I see it is:
We're not making top 4 this season, and we won't get relegated. So this season becomes about implementing a system, so that new players coming in next summer have a solid base and a group of colleagues who know what they're doing.

These days, or against us in the last game? The guy is coming back from horrendous injuries. It may take him time to get back, he may never get back but I don't think you can write him off just yet.

These days. My opinion isn't based on one performance

Great, we were all saying Kaboul was a liability last season. Hence why everyone of us were desperate to improve our defence. We have done that now and just want to see the likes of fazio and Davies starting. Rose pre season was decent but I still think he's useless and was found out at Liverool and even got turned over time after time by Stewart downing at westham. I want Davies starting.

Rose got absolutely r@ped by Downing

Not a dig at Downing so much but that's a complete embarrassment

We've signed and strengthened the defence for a reason.

Rose is s hit let's be honest. We should be starting Davies from now on.
