Jones looked awesome, Smalling continues to look good as well, hopefully Jones will have a bit of time to make his mark now Vidic is out for a month...
that tackle he (jones) made on bale. jesus. only 19 as well. i don't think I'm overstating it to say that he and smalling have the potential to go down in manchester united folklore.
We had SIX yes six english players tonight in our first XI, and we looked world class second half.
Capello was apparantly at Old Trafford tonight, he should jsut our 6 and then 5 others for the Euros and tell them to play the Untied way. Lets face it Capello, you are useless and have no idea how english football is played!

Calm down mate...
I know it's early days but Rio's continual absence from our back four doesnt worry me so much anymore. I still think we need Vidic though.
Yep, our english contigent were as a unit sublime - especially the defence. How Walcott/Johnson/Lennon have more caps than Young is a mystery to me.
Capello has proven to be utterly befuddled about English football.

Im guessing this 'tackle' was the one where Jones recovered and threw himself at Bale's attempted cross/shot.....it was pretty orgasmic
Honestly I was watching it, and obviously we have a birds eye view and I didnt even see Jones coming! He literally came from nowhere....amazing

really.....?!
Emile Heskey as striker
Gerrard as left winger
Rob green over Hart
Upson, Johnson, Barry.....
hehe indeed....the list goes on. Zamora, J Borthroyd, we could go on

Literally? Did he make himself invisible? Or did he just simply make up the ground?
You need to calm down too it seems!

It's a very exciting time to be a United fan why should he calm down? Who cares if he goes over the top football is all about excitement
Billy's getting a bit jealous there, the attentions being taken away from him, bless him

Ok, get carried away with yourselves...i just find it a bit OTT, that's all, each to their own i guess, i'll leave you lot to it!

True dat!
Billy would much rather us be talking about other teams or downing, henderson and carroll so he can make articles slating us for not talking about united in a statement of do as I say rather than do as I do!
it's actually quite reassuring to see that billy bob taunton is still spending every waking minute of his life discussing manchester united football club. i worry about him if i don't see him posting drivel on our board at five minute intervals.
Billy's just a little bitter about our continued success, I am sure this will subside as Kenny's boys take their widely expected (in merseryside) title home...

were you really in the Gorse Hill? So was I.
Was that you who spilt my pint?
red black and whiteside, yes! went in after the game hoping to see the goals but they had soccer am on! didnt spill anyones pint, but managed to leave my freebie scarf in there sadly, after having promised it to my younger sister.
ahhh, Was in before the game. Always go in the Gorse before the game as we park the car near by.
Maybe bump into you one day!
(Im the one wearing a retro No.4, Norman Whiteside, white, away shirt! Sometimes.)
fair enough mate,i get the bus to and from games so i can have a few. go in beforehand myself on occasions and always afterwards, will gladly buy you a drink if i see you in there anyway.
De Gea "Solid tonight"
I don't think so. He cant handle crosses. Too hesitant. Fumbles straightforward saves and looks frightened of getting in amongst both sets of players. He seems to be looking for trouble and not for the ball.
Did he show his inexperience by dropping the ball whilst it was still in play following the incident near the end when although the Spurs player was booked, at that time, the Ref had not blown his whistle to stop play.
I don't think he will last long.
wishful thinking silkyblue, the guy is going to be awesome and a United legend winning trophy after trophy as the red domination continues.
