A surprising one but I read this morning that since he signed for Liverpool, Daniel Sturridge has had 11 separate injuries.

That's not true, we don't get injuries.

Ok what about players who never get injured.

I know David James, Lampard and Friedel all had crazy consecutive runs of appearances in the League

Harry Kewell.

From a Liverpool perspective I agree with that one, certainly in recent years.

I was so excited when we signed him. Little did I know that signing him and playing him were not the same thing!

Anderton was nicknamed sicknote because in the 90's he suffered a string of injuries. His record shows that for 12 seasons (92 to 04) he managed 300 games - 25 a season average - roughly half a season. I believe it came about due to a TV show London's burning.

Derby's worst injury prone player in recent times Chris Porter who scored about 4 in 3 games then hurt his back and was injured for two seasons.

Ledley King is easily the most injury prone player.
And he has definitely made the most money from sitting on the physio's lap.

He put himself on the line so many times when others simply wouldn't have done to be fair, top top player who is rated by us for that reason

From Liverpool, in recent years, I'd have to go with Kewell. I haven't been more excited before him, when we bought a player and then he failed miserably, mainly due to injuries. He was absolutely outstanding for Leeds but didn't show the same for Liverpool.

I heard before that Darren Anderton's nickname was not sicknote but actually it was "Tampon" - in for a week, out for a month!!

It's a big step up, not all players can deal with it.

25 league appearances since the 2010/2011 season for Arsenal.

Anderton and his figures look good considering the fewer games Spurs would have played in Europe, LC and FA cup

I think the players who failed to play to their full ability when they actually did play or missed many matches and had to retire will be much higher in peoples' lists.

Agger for me never had a problem when he did play, in that he performed and you knew that you'd never get a full season out of him and that he wouldn't have to retire due to injury.

Going back for Liverpool, Ronnie Whelan spent a fair bit of time on the sidelines, still one of my favourite players though. Molby later in his career as well.

Beglin after that horror tackle in the derby, suffered plenty of niggles & sadly had to retire early. Rob Jones was a frustrating one, so much ability yet his injury problems piled up, best right back in the country for me as well.

Elsewhere Paul McGrath had bad knees but was a class act still, Whiteside I think was a sick note If I'm right.

Kevin Beattie for Ipswich was another classy defender who struggled with injuries I think & another centre back was Paul Lake, City fans will obviously know more but he looked some player in his short career.

His was a tragic tale of what could've been if it wasn't for injuries, touted as a future England captain I think.

The stat reads appearances, If that's full games or just a few minutes at the end is what's interesting
