He is becoming a victim of Wenger trying to fit everyone in.
Our main problems this season?
1)Need for a more athletic, more physical, more defensively aware defensive mid
2) A reliable striker: other than Giroud's second half against Everton, our strikers have been average to abject
3) Defense - these guys haven't got enough stick but only Debuchy and Kos have done well. We've been really poor defensively.
Don't see how people pick the likes of Ramsey as a target.
To be honest its easy to see why people were saying it, Ramsey's general play has been quite poor. (For his now higher standards)
However, it would be absolutely mad to drop him. He can play crap and then still get a goal or assist from nowhere.
From what i've seen on your board more people have been saying to drop Ozil and play Cazorla or Ox more.
Tbf even Koscielny has made quite a few errors in defense.

--------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, many say this, but some Ozil defenders are giving more to Ramsey and were even suggesting Ramsey should be dropped so Ozil can play as a no.10. I do feel for Cazorla though. Generally played well - far better than Ozil has - but still dropped to the periphery.
Ramsey is undroppable, he is the only player in the squad who will guarantee you goals
You are comparing him to Yaya who has been terrible this season, too. Ramsey has got a lot of the basics wrong and has been a hindrance to the team just as much as Ozil. The difference is one of them scores goals, the other doesn't. Way too early for people to be calling for him to be dropped though.
A surprisingly reasonable and positive post from you.
I'm most concerned by Flamini and Mertesacker this season. Flamini is simply dreadful. When he plays there is always space between the lines. Mertesacker looks even more ponderous than usual this season. I hope that it's just a world cup hangover.

I give a fack of your stats that suggests that he is better than he is. He is crap the whole season long. I prefer to judge on my own stats that is reliable of what I see.
He needs to improve drastically. End of.
We all know that he is better than that and I hope he will improve soon.

You are wrong here. We have no problem upfront. We have a problem with our attacking and defensive midfield that put pressure on both sides.

Who do you suggest I compare him with, so we can compare? And no, he hasn't been a hindrance AS MUCH as Ozil. Not even close. The main difference is one of them still works his ar.se off even if it's not going well while the other's shoulder drops and he becomes a passenger.

You own stats? You manufacture stats now? Who is saying he doesn't need to improve? Of course he does. Hell, Messi and Ronaldo need to improve. Your saying he is "crap" is a load of crap.

Bats is spot on here. Ramsey is a hindrance so far this season both in offensive and defensive. He cant pass and not winning balls back. The last few minutes of the game yesterday he was a passenger and couldnt even run properly. Why he wasnt subbed is beyond me.

So, I take it you believe Sanogo's cameos have been excellent this season? Our attack's problems have had nothing to do with everything breaking down once it gets to our donkeys upfront who can't hold up the ball or link up play, eh?

That's why despite the fact I believe stats aren't the be-all and end-all, it's occasionally useful to refute some myths. And all you're saying right now is a myth. Ramsey is a defensive hindrance? Our best tackler in midfield and hardest worker. What have you been smoking?

Exactly. This season he has been awful the whole games he played. Your stats make him better than he is. And I reiterate what Bats said. He is a hindrance at the moment offensively (cant make a pass) and defensively (doesnt win the ball enough and lost too many challenges).
Our strikers and it doesnt matter who play upfront Sanchez, Sanogo or Giroud are isolated because we havent got bodies enough in the box.

I have two healthy eyes. Better than any stat of the world.
Whatever you say, Gunther. Ramsey is no Giroud for sure. Couldn't lace Giroud's boots.

I have absolute no clue why you abuse me like this. Thought we have a serious debate here. That is why I at least participate on this thread. A bit harsh from me to say "I give a fack of your stats". I take that comment back but not what I was saying in general.
In my view we have a midfield problem.
Our midfield problem is certainly not Ramsey.
Compare him to Cesc maybe, who has been the best CM so far and is the best CM in England anyway (better than Yaya).
If you want to be brutally honest, the whole team has been poor this season aside from Alexis and Jack. People are saying to give Cazorla/Ox a chance but when they play they hardly pull up trees.
We are trying to play our best players, rather than the best players for the best system.
