Could be a 433 with mate as the the arrow head and Di Maria and Rooney as wide forwards

So irritating to see falcao on the bench when rvp has been so hopeless of late.

Loads of ways he could change it if it's not working

I personally see it as

Blind Herrera as two man mid
Mata as the Apex with Rooney and ADM either side d him
RVP up top

Fair enough and show's he is a pragmatic manager. But it seems he will still use it if we have enough defenders. Maybe the players need to show the manager 4 at the back is the way to go.

I thought he'd opt for 4 at the back with the defenders we had available. Let's hope that the team gels and that's the end of 3 CBs.

Is it definitely a diamond? Because it could also be a Moyes midfield 4, with Mata wide on the right cutting in.
