Welbeck would be better used in goal.
Fellaini is the steel you need in midfield
4 Facking chances. YaYa would have scuffed at least one into the path of a team mate.
Embarrassing article, as is most of the reaction to 1 bad game from Welbeck.
Arsenal fans are embarrassing.

Nope, a reaction to two bad games, and a career of crap at United.
Hope this article is a joke.
Ridiculous to jump on the back of welbeck already.
There are so many other players we have that are to blame, and the manager before we jump on welbeck!
Let's look on the bright side, lads. at least both players aren't as awful as Giroud.
Well thought out and reasoned article here…
Maybe we have just dragged Welbeck down to our level.
People acting like Welshit wasn't well shît at United.
Also while our midfield and defence are so cack, we could have Henry at his peak, and we'd still get battered and dominated in big games. Maybe we'd lose 6-2 instead of 6-0.

And yet Welbeck still had 4 very good chances, and didn't hit the target.
On a serious note, DJ is right. Us Gooners have an overwhelming tendency to overrate our players massively. Even those players we used to laugh at when they were opposition.
I've always thought Welbeck was average to decent. Nothing has changed my mind about him, unfortunately.
Reading many comments today only goes to support other fans views in regard to the attitude of Arsenal fans.
I don’t think there’s a fan in the country who believes Welbeck is the answer to our problems but to single him out after two (2) games is pathetic.
If he continues to get into goal scoring positions he will get goals for us. His pace alone gives us far more options going forward, and can play across the front line. It’s not beyond the realms of possibilities that Welbeck could return circa 20 goals for us this season, however to chastise him after 180 minutes of football is pitiful.

Dortmund had 20 odd chances and they only scored 2!
DJ I thought better of you than to make an article like this!
What would Stuart Pearce do?
I was amused when Arsenal signed Welbeck but even I feel this article is unfair, he's a decent player who deserves a chance, ridiculous to write him off after two games vs two of the best sides in Europe.
Two games??? Welbeck has played over a hundred games for United.
What has he ever done in his career to suggest he can get 20+ goals?
I have a look at our team and in my view our attacking force in general isnt the problem.

You realise he played professional football before he came to Arsenal, right? In the same league we play in.
We know just how good he is, and he would have to play pretty much every game between now and the end of the season to get 20 imo.

Not really. Whether you're playing against City and Dortmund or Cambridge and Doncaster, Welbeck had 3 very clear cut chances and failed to hit the target with either.
Welbeck gets in GREAT positions
