Al least we should be spared all this "Mourinho tactical masterclass" búllshit - He did what he did last year, defend in numbers and attack on the break. At leat we managed to get one more point this time.
Mangala was superb, took him about 10 minutes to slot in.
Milner kept his place and Nasri didn't after midweek, at least Pel is showing faith in the right players as Jimmy was sublime.
They defended so deep, it was always going to be difficult. Zabaleta, the first one was harsh but the kick was asking for it. I agree with Inky that it was very inconsistent refereeing though.

The ref was pretty bad, if your judging the way he reffed the game city should of had 2 pens, costa on dzeko and the foul ivanovic did on yaya was exactly the same as yaya yellow card.
Great performance - they were lucky, their goal came just after Sagna came on before we had the chance to settle. Gutsy performance all round from City.

That's nonsense. The Dzeko incident was never a pen, and the foul on Toure came outside the box though he chose to collapse inside. The ref never got any big decision wrong. The closest thing to a penalty was Toure's handball - which though unintentional, resulted from him having his hands in an "unnatural" position.
Mike Dean was a bit card happy, but it applied to both sides.
After seeing that image Zabba deserved the red card, I mean getting his neck in the way of Costa's hands was disgraceful!!!

It won't take long for clubs to figure out how easily Costa is wound up.
As for the game we could have done with the win really given the ridiculous 3 points dropped against Stoke. But, after they scored, will take the point as I don't think we'll get away with Chelsea doing the double over us this season and still take the title home.
As pp said the other day, pity this game has come so early.

Disagree. If any foul should have been given, the only significant contact came outside the box. Yaya of course knew what he was doing. I doubt you'd find it agreeable if Chelsea won a pen like that.
The main issue with the reffing was the flurry of 1st half yellows. Almost all of them were for soft or first time challenges. I just knew someone would be sent off. Zabaleta's tackle for the second yellow was just utterly silly.
Wouldn't complain all that much about the Zaba red but the Costa on Dzeko challenge was definitely a penalty.
Kompany was incredible and Mangala had an excellent debut.
I know its early days, but overall you have to say 2 points from Stoke, Bayern, Arsenal and Chelsea is not good enough.
2 Points less than we got from the corresponding games last season.
We're unbeaten against our main title rivals, doesn't sound as bad if it's put that way.

The Zaba one was a sending off, his first was harsh but being on a yellow, he should have not made that challenge. The issue was there was no consistency in his bookings for either side, it descended into pot luck.
