Why are people starting with Suso? He's already agreed to go to Milan so other than to rest other players I don't see the point starting him over the likes of Markovic.

I didn't realise he had agreed to go. This is sad news. When Brendan bangs on about looking for players with the right attributes all the time when he signs them I'd have thought Suso would have been ticking all the boxes...

If Suso, plays there is still a chance he will stay, if not so be it.

Everything that may be agreed can be broken at this stage.

I wouldn’t be too concerned just yet. Its only minor teething problems, with the new players taking time to adapt to the new system. What I will say is that the new bodies will bring much needed competition to the existing players. Jose Enrique looked solid and who knows, with Moreno's arrival, he may push on another level. I was also impressed with Suso’s cameo, but whether Rodgers will choose to start him over a new signing that cost £20m remains to be seen. Ill reserve judgement on the team until Christmas. I’ll give the new players a full season before making a call on them.

Lallana was bought for instant impact, imo markovic wasnt

I would say at the moment our defence is EXACTLY like Carling - Not strong enough and overpriced. Also causes wee to come out more often than I would like!.

He's in there because I would prefer to see him play over Markovic. perhaps Coutinho would be a more popular choice but Suso is a wild card. It's a gamble and those are exciting

On paper that formation looks good, but we have looked impotent with 1 striker so far this season. We need to find a balance with 2 up front.

1 up is not the issue so much as nobody gambling to get beyond badontelly and into the box as he constantly drops of and badontellyhimself making zero runs toward goal for a pass.

Just a question, I admit, but is anyone going to mention a player called Philippe Coutinho? It seems he has been airbrushed out of the body politic. He has a couple of not so good games, and he appeared to be history. Suso earned a new contract after Tuesday.
