Stromboli and Fazio.

probably about time you learnt the names of our players buddy
Cheers Chronic, what are your views on the amount of shots on target in our last 4 games!! I think its 2
2 shots on target as it stands in 315 minutes of football
No good throwing good money after bad, need players to play and a manager to manage.

Firstly, theres no way we will finish mid table, things arent great at the moment but im sure we will finish top 6/7.
Paulinho was meh again tonight, almost scored with a flick but did little else, unless he has a huge surge in form i think he will be gone either Jan or next summer.
Soldado cant play on his own upfront, he dosent have the strength, height and all round game to do this. Unless Poch starts playing with two up top consistently then the odd cup game is the only chance he will get in the first team. He is a penalty box player who is totally reliant on service. I think he will be sold in the next window or two.
Lamela is showing promise and coming on nicely.
Fazio and Stambouli werent great tonight but we need to give them time
Naughton was excellent tonight and i hope he keeps his place against Arsenal. Im sure Rose and Kaboul will come in for Davies and Fazio.
Bentaleb was hugely disappointing. Capoue and Dembele will probably return in midfield.
Townsend was our best player tonight, didnt play well in the first half but second half he was excellent.
Big Kudos to young Mason, great goal and his passing was excellent, just a shame he cant play in the premier league.
This is the team i expect to play Arsenal -
Lloris
Naughton
Kaboul
Vertonghen
Rose
Capoue
Dembele
Eriksen
Lamela
Chadl
Adebayor
I thought we were awful tonight , lucky we had a bit of quality on the bench.
Just a shame he can't play in the premier league

What do you mean?
The commentators said that Mason isnt in the premier league squad. Bit others now are saying he is?

Team for the gooons
Lloris
Naughton Kaboul Verts Davies
Capoue Dembele
Lamela Eriksen Chadli
Ade
Should keep it to single figures

Capoue Bentaleb

Ade
I like Dembele but he hasn't done anything in ages. Gets the ball, passes sideways.. Bentaleb is raw but far better at playing the Poch way IMO.
It was a performance that rather papered over the cracks tonight. Our squad really isn't that great in terms of attacking options.
Townsend did well second half, but I don't feel his form will ever improve enough. Most of the time he's too predictable and will get found out against better opposition.
Lennon likewise and even more so than Townsend. Not been good enough for so long now, and adds little.
Soldado is too reliant on the team adapting to suit him that I don't think he's worth doing it for. You compare him to someone like Costa who works tirelessly to get himself on the ball and in the position to score and it makes Soldado look like a joke.
Paulinho is proving to be a dud Brazilian. We need more goals from this area for the money spent. At least Eriksen and Lamela are showing some promise although very slow in progressing forward. Honestly we should have just kept Siggy. Better than Paulinho.

Nah, he was never properly given a chance in a number 10 position with us. Always seemed to be played on the left wing, but still managed a few goals there.
I felt he was worth keeping over the likes of Paulinho and Lennon before he went.
Spurtle, like i said in the ratings thread. Lamela did more in 10 mins than what Lennon and Townsend have been trying to do for years. 5 assists already this season and has not really been that sensational yet is an excellent stat and more can be said for the likes of Lennon and Townsend who continue to disappoint time and time again. Lennon works hard I give him that and Townsend tries to make things happen and is a positive player in that sense but both no where near good enough to lead our attack as inverted wingers. They offer nothing of any sort in attack with Townsend only being slightly better than Lennon.

You only say that because he is scoring goals at Swansea babe
He was given plenty of opportunities here and blew hot and cold too much. He's in his element there because he's their main man, their number 10.

I've been singing for Siggy for years. Since Bale went good and he looked to link up with him whenever possible.. he's a clever player with great technique, things you can't teach.
I agree we never saw the best of him, and he wouldn't make everything better, but I like the way he plays. Definitely better than Paulinho.
