That dummy was a great piece of improvisation from Welbz which completely caught Lloris unawares

does he remind you of Gervinho ?

There is no chance he will be replaced by Giroud. He fits our style much better and we look better going forward than we did last season.

Wengie always wanted Kalou.

We are talking about wengers love child here!

Hope Giroud can get fit ASAP, far better striker than Welbeck.
Welbeck is just another wide attacker in a squad over flowing with wide attackers who want to play central.

It deflected twice on the way to him, hence why he was completely wrong footed.

Welbeck is neat and tidy in the build up but when it really matters, he will invariably fail. I watched him for years at United and never rated him as a striker. But I think the best way to sum up his contributions is what he does when it mayters.

Arsenal are better than anybody at beating cannon fodder. You are relentlessly consistent in that department. Danny will probably score some goals in tbose games.

But next weekend at Stamford Bridge you are going to need to score. And Danny won't score.

Welbeck has attributed but not composure which separates the best from the rest. Walcott got example has gained a lot of composure in past seasons and is our most deadly attacker. I can only hope Welbeck also gains that because his all round game isn't too bad.

Giroud is finished at Arsenal. Cazorla, Theo and Ozil's comments back that up.

It's not a contest. Falcao has been (wrongly) chosen as second fiddle to LVG's best mate RVP thus far but still assisted twice.

All I'm saying is that Arsenal are brilliantly proficient at beating poor teams and Danny shines in those games. You struggle against the big 2 (you're comfortably top 3 now imo) and Welbeck is not likely to score in those games. He didn't for us

In my opinion he began the game quite well and dissappeared completely in the second half when we needed his contribution most.

Giroud is another option upfront and completely different one. In my view it would have been great if we could have subbed him.

Welbeck needs to keep up and play the whole game on an constant good level or when being quieter do something to bring him or others in play.

Sanogo is an absolute joke of a signing as his injury record is up there with diaby

Giroud is done at Arsenal. Thank you Utd

If Wellbeck struck that shot it might have hit the keeper or a defender as a defender was in the way so his mistimed attempt at a shot was a good thing in the end.

I think that Welbeck will end up being a good signing for Arsenal. He's still finding his feet at the moment and it wouldn't surprise me to see him score against Chelsea.

What he will offer you is determination and workrate which you desperately need. However, he is not a "natural" finisher. You take the good with the bad but he is better than what you already had.

It wasn't an attempt at a shot, it was an intentional dummy improvised to deceive Lloris, and it worked

Welbeck is dismal. We all thought he was when he as at United and the fact that he's now an Arsenal player, for me, only exasperates this feeling further as we now get to see him week-in, week-out doing exactly what it was that lead to him being the 4th choice centre forward for United.

He's not a natural striker and he's very clearly not a naturally confident central striker either, which is why he spends so much time loitering outside the box or coming incredibly short for things and during moves he'd be best served staying in the penalty area for.

I admire his will and his want to make things happen, but he just really isn't anywhere near good enough and he definitely won't ever be the striker many gooners lied themselves into believing he could be. He just doesn't have the ability or the personality, unfortunately.
