Although I agree that Rodgers (and the board) has some serious question marks over LFC's transfer policy this article is truly awful.

Brilliant response an insult
Why not try and say something constructive as mentioned by TOOR earlier?
You talk about the performance being nowhere near the level of European performance accustomed to by LFC.
I can only assume you are a child as if you had seen some of our European performances in the 90's, they made this look like a good one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Look you Gobshite - my article explains fully my opinion on why i thought the set-up was clearly wrong. The selection and formation and thats actually backed up by many professionals in the game. Who gives a f@@k about the 90's, we used to be the best team in Europe under Raffa. This Gung Ho style might have worked with Suarez but he's gone and Brendan is in trouble so he better fix it than Jim'll Fix it

So you don't think Brendan has been naive and inexperienced of late? You don't think his selections and tactics are questionable? You think it'll all gel soon- someday? Blurd
This is a sharticle Dunc would be proud of.

------------------------
No I don't. I think we're poor defensively and that's down to Rodgers as it was last year, the year before and when he was at Swansea but the rest I'm of the opinion you don't know what you're talking about I'm afraid.

so you agee with the selection or inclusion of Enrique and Markovic last night?
RAP you are weasting your time mate.
5* OP.
Forward is a concern. Balo can't play on his own. Sterlling was back to the level when started last season. BR was referring to Skrtel in his post match interview regarding defending set pieces and quoting the importance of first contact with the ball. Skrtel all he does is hold the player look at him and not the ball and hence he can't jump. Last night he headed it towards the goal.
We knew there would problems in attack without Sturridge and after losing Suarez. Also we know we are poor at defending set pieces even with players like Lovren even though he's good at them but we will always be in trouble when Skrtel is playing and when we have a keeper who prefers to stay on his line. However the biggest concern is the Midfield. We have Gerrard the best English midfielder of the last 10 years. His partner is Henderson the current best English midfielder. But we are still poor. It is either Gerrard is past his best and needs to be dropped and Hendo is overrated or kind of inconsistent or they are still very good but Rodgers tactics and new players have an effect on them.
It was not only last night. We have now lost 4 games. Needed luck in pen shootout against Boro. Only Spurs and Everton games we played well. The two centre midfielders leave big space for opponents to attack our defence. I can't believe Rodgers is yet to address these problems.

I'm not even a Pool fan and I think you're being harsh on Brendan.
When your philosophy is one of free-flowing football like his is, you expect your defence to be a bit more vulnerable because of it, unlike under the kind of philosophy that Mourinho implements. Although it's obviously worse than it should be, as with last season. But what mainly made up for it last season which isn't at the moment is the attack, and this season you've lost Suarez, you've been without Sturridge, and have a new striker who wasn't Brendan's first choice by the way (Remy was). On top of that he has CL football now.
For a still young and relatively unexperienced manager in such things you have to owe him some failings before he gets it right.

id have gone 4-5-1 and we had Lucas and Suso to utilise.

thats fu@@kin funny, its a site for opinionated views and you come on to read opinions and not give one? Slag those who have one but have fu@@kall to say. Divvy
I have given an opinion.
Firstly I'm of the opinion that I don't think BR's tactics made players pass the ball poorly in the final third, made them over play, get caught in possession or stray offside.
Secondly that I don't think you know what you're talking about.
Why did he play Markovic and Enrique, even Coutinio? In this game why not play Lucas as we don't have any more options and even Suso?
-------------
I thought his decision making was wrong at times but Markovic looked one of the brighter players last night. He also has played in European football before so has the experience that Suso does not.
I agree we probably could have done with another man in the middle to stop Serey Die but would Lucas really have been the one to do it? A midfield of Gerrard, Hendo and Lucas has failed time and time again so there'd be no point of putting him in just cause there's no one else.
Don't see why you're complaining about Enrique either when he was solid defensively.
