He is a good manager, but you don't need to be that good to work out how to beat arsenal.... I reckon I could give it a good go.

Just watch them once and you have all you need to know.

Best manager in the world. Arsene is his son.

'I hope we can string together a decent run now. The FA Cup and top 4 trophy is all we have left to fight for. Unless you believe we can overcome a 9 points to Chelsea or win the Champions League.'

That is why I couldn't understand Wenger or Arsenal fans just accepting getting knocked out of the League Cup. It is another trophy that potentially Arsenal could win, yet most of your fans were saying we have bigger fish to fry... like getting rolled over by Dortmund or Chelsea.

Spot on Sheriff.

Coming up against Arsene has to be the easiest game of the season for Mourinho.

Ozil needs to go back to the Bundesliga, Prem is far too physical and quck for him.

Why is it that when Murinho plays any other team and does this, you all slate hm for "Parking the bus," but when he's playing Arsnal and Wenger, it suddenly gets upgraded from "Parking the bus" to "Tactical genius over Wenger."

The minute the penalty went in it was game over. We HAD to score first to get any points because Chelsea parking the bus after getting the first was inevitable

Very level headed Sheriff

I'm surprised reading those comments coming from an actual Arsenal fan

Gotta hand it to the guy. People can live in denial all they want, but he's a tactical genius.

No he isnt. What have he done right on the tactical side. It wasnt Mourinho that won the game because of his tactical approach. It was us to lose because we made one mistake at the back.

If the ref. would have done his job he would have reward us a clear handball pen. That would have be the draw at that point. You never know what the outcome would have been then. Dont hype Mou up because Atkinson won him the game.

As a complete neutral, at what point did Arsenal "start to get on top"? Seriously? You guys barely had a sniff in that game. In fact, with 25 mins to go, I thought your complete lack of urgency meant the players were happy to be keeping the score down.
-------------------------------

Before Jose brought in Mikel. the 20 or so minutes before that, Chelsea were defending deeper and deeper and losing the ball easily.

Chelsea were in cruise control from start to finish.

I would hardly call that cruise control. The first half is some of the most intense I've seen Chelsea play at. They were never "cruising" till they got the important 2nd goal.

Was actually hoping you got at least a draw, just to keep the league interesting, but that NEVER looked likely in all honesty. Chelsea were in cruise control from start to finish.

PS - Why no red card for Kos at the pen? Looked blatant last man/goalscoring opportunity ... at least in the Irish bar I was watching it in Nice! Loads of unhappy locals here ... presumably a Wenger thing.

Until the penalty, neitheer team was particularly threatening. Once Kos gave that away, it was over.

Parking the bus is overused nonsense, used to denigrate other teams who don't play tippy-tappy. Chelsea working hard defensively and countering purposefully is not "parking the bus".

And yet you still couldnt trouble our reserve keeper!!!

I can imagine Mourinho has a game plan all worked out well in advance of this game and organises his players to stick to it. I just don't get that impression with Wenger. I think he just trusts his eleven to be good enough on the day and that's it.

Can't believe people are still using the bus parking excuse. Almost as out of touch with reality as Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "It was an even game, but at the end of the day they have financial power and used it in a effective way with players like Diego Costa and Eden Hazard making the difference.
"They did not work our keeper more than we did their's. We had more shots and missed opportunities to take more. We lost on details and this is unfortunate.
On his touchline clash with Jose Mourinho: "I went out of my technical area because I wasn't happy with the challenge and I wanted to see what happened. Someone stood in front of me and that was it. I say absolutely nothing else on that.
"Jose says we should have finished with eight men and I return that compliment. I don't know how Gary Cahill finished the game. I don't know how Branislav Ivanovic finished the game. I don't know how Oscar finished the game.
"It is a concern to be nine points behind Chelsea, with the quality of the teams ahead of us, but we will keep on fighting and go on to the next game."
