City might not even be in pot 1 next season as they may not win it. So they could be in pot 2 or even 3 where as CSKA Moscow and Benfica are in pot 1.What a joke.

I say the winner of the big four leagues should be in pot 1, but then the rest of the pot should be decided on coefficients, with a 3 year deciding time.
There's no way Madrid or Barca should ever be in pot 2, and there's no way anyone from Russia or Porto should be in pot 1 at the moment either.
Maybe last year's runner up should get a place in pot 1 as well. At least reward teams for recent performances in the competition rather than just topping a weak league
I think pretty much the only ones who think it's a bad idea is arsenal, understandably

City have, and could be this season, in the Europa League with the current format.
I don't think it will have that huge an effect in terms of the groups anyway.
Benfica and Porto have been top seeds for years anyway. PSG would likely be one soon anyway. It's only really the Russian and Italian teams that will benefit. And they'd still potentially get knocked out anyway.

WTF is wrong with the Russian champions being in Pot 1, and a team like Arsenal who continually finish 4th in their domestic league and have to go through qualifying each year being seeded lower. It is a complete nonsense they get automatic Pot 1 seeding every year. Champions of whatever country should always be seeded as high as possible. Teams finishing 4th should be in the bottom pot.
The PL is the most competitive league in Europe. RM, Barca and Bayern could probably field a reserve team in domestic games and still finish in the top 4. There isn't a team in the Prem that can be guaranteed a CL place these days.
