I actually don't expect United to compete for trophies for some time so I would think at present our main rivals are

I never understood why everyone seems to be writing off Man utd. I mean not expecting us to compete for trophies when we have been in near every title race for last decade.
Arsenal modern day rivals are Tottenham.
Arsenals rivals have always been Tottenham, to say otherwise is to live in denial of the 120 year history between the two clubs, as Ace says in the past few years the rivalry has never been closer.
