I can see above - doesn't make it correct though.
A totally false statement!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really, I've quantified it on his performance of late for us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No you didn't, you assumed Remy's form you plank
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I assumed his form, based on him not playing match due to him coming back from injury and being of low match fitness, not hard.
All season Drogba has been given the advantage of playing over Remy and most of the time failed to impress.
Remy on the other hand for me always looks more likely to score when given a chance.
Five minutes at the end is a waste of time - may as well leave Costa on who's in tune with the pace of the game!
I believe mourinho is making mistakes, our stuttering performances of late and an inclusion of mikel cannot be a coincidence. And drogba who is like Costa life right now getting minutes when remy or someone else is available is poor.

Its painfully obvious that Mourinho has a favourite in Drogba, its probably more to do with trust than anything else, but that's just a hunch, which unlike you, I won't pads off as some kind of enlightened knowledge.

Has he not been our best or close to best striker in terms of foals and assist since the international break? I'm doing it on memory here, may be wrong - but think it's very close between him and Costa, no?

Sorry Kev but your so wide of the mark over this!

Funny chap
Am I? I know people have favourites, many love Remy for some reason, don't get why, but I'm seriously looking at this based on what both strikers have done.

I think WW has touched on the truth a bit.
The Drog is his favourite son and blinding him to the obvious that he is not the same striker that he had when he was in his prime!
I believed it was a mistake bringing him back at the time but thought he'd be behind Remy - Jose's sentiment is hurting us here!
Brummie I agree.
I love Drogba and he can certainly play a part until the end of the season but Jose constantly favouring him over Remy is becoming a problem.
A single shot on target today and an 8 point lead becoming only 1 point suggests that Jose is getting it slightly wrong somewhere and I think that not playing Remy enough is certainly a part of that.
I don't actually want a striker that can 'hold the ball up' - I want one that can run with the ball and cause defenders problems!
Holding the ball is a good quality to have in certain circumstances but if you're relying on holding the ball up all the time you're a defenders dream, giving them time to get back in place - which is what the Southampton defence were most of the afternoon against us!
Superb
Like I said before, I was very quick to write Torres of based on similar restrictions to his game, met with similar discontent. Remy is a crap target man when compared with Drogba and Costa. Your irrational statements were quite embarrassing about this loss is due to Remy not coming on, which just shows how biased you're in this situation. I don't really need people to agree with me here, as what I think should happen in terms of players coming off and on seems to always happen during matches probably use the same logic as I do. But people are so far up Remy's ars.e, that they would even start making silly statements about why Drogba is being picked ahead of him - due to Mourinhos sentiments.
Anyway as good as he is, he won't be here much longer, he was a desperate signing. Benteke or Bony in.
Jose constantly favouring him over Remy is becoming a problem.
----------------------------------------------------
I've come to that conclusion quite a while ago Superb - nail on the head time from you buddy!
The way I see it, if Remy can't get in the team ahead of Drogba then we desperately need to sign another striker.
I don't actually want a striker that can 'hold the ball up' - I want one that can run with the ball and cause defenders problems!
------------------------------------------------------------
This is Chelsea FC not Burnley, most opposition teams will not afford us the space for a strike to play in that way for us.

This is exactly how I see it as well. A 37 yo striker holding of a 26 yo. Not good enough.

Sorry Kev but your argument is disintegrating from wrong to farsical.
How you can come out with a comment like, " But people are so far up Remy's ars.e", I just don't know!
It's simply as plain as the nose on Angel Di Maria's face that The Drog is not the player he was and we have the option of some one who can offer something different!
I don't see anyone up Remys ass tbh. Something has been going wrong. Remy is a good younger option. Makes sense
Brummie
You still haven't showed where I was wrong about the forms.
Obviously Drogba is not the player he is - but like I described before, I believe he is the best option as a back up in certain situations.

Hopefully Jose wakes up and smells the coffee because Drogba for all his attributes is not the cure all solution for whenever we need a goal.
Drog had little impact today. It was the wrong game for him. Against a resolute defence you need pace and players who are going to pull defenders put of position.
Remy was the player to bring on first today, not Drogba.
