How are our opposition so clinical?

West Brom were crying about Rafael being fouled and touching the ball by his hand when he fell over. Anyway our finishing wasn't as good as West brom's today. I think for some reason we can't hit a barn door. If Blind hadn't equalised I would have given up all hope of even 4th spot this season.

I think De Gea should have smothered the 2nd shot on goal. He made it way to easy for him, I wander if he was offside too, knowing our luck he probably was.

Hendo vs Suarez and Coates

I've noticed that teams seem to be clinical against us as well...although it doesn't help that our defence intermittently parts like the red sea for no apparent reason to allow our opponents to run clean through on goal. What's up with that? People used to moan that Jones and Smalling were never allowed to play at CB but I can only assume that it is because their positional discipline sucks.

Overall we should have won comfortably today but defensive mistakes (again) and clinical finishing by WB undid us.

You should be beating teams like west brom home and away with the talent you've got at utd it doesnt look good tbh.

I know we should. We'd won 7 out of 8 against West Brom historically, with the only other draw being a result of a very rare VDS clanger.

I guess the performance was slightly encouraging though. Our defense never looked comfortable for a minute but they did limit West Brom to very few chances, shame they took them so well. I still have no idea what our best lineup is, although I thought Falcao definitely should be starting over RVP at the moment. We need Rooney back too, we always look a shadow of our usual self whenever he's out

Did West Brom not beat us 2-1 at old trafford last season under David Moyes? Is 2-2 away from home not an improvement?

wtf on ssn I just watched quite a lot of highlights and they showed Bayern Munich get a penalty for crossing and the ball hitting a players hand. Schalke winner came from a penalty that looked like it hit the person in the middle nowhere near arms and point blank to. Chelsea got some ridiculous pens, none of them were even close to pens.

I honestly find it amazing west brom handled 4 times with big distance from the ball in the box and a couple of times cooped the ball out with outstetched arms to stop a goalscoring opportunity and ref saw it but didn't give it. Then you see the pens given in champions league its a joke.

I hope we get 30 penalties this season as thats probably how much we are due.

We let in the fewest shots on our goal this season of any team in the league and chelsea don't have many shots on target. I reckon Man utd 7-1 Chelsea.

What?

I hope your on about shots on target and not scoreline....

posted on 22/10/14

De Gea has saved the lowest amount of any keeper this season but then again he has had really no chance as against Leicester and West Brom all 7 shots on target went in.

I am on about scoreline, if the ref gives us the penalties we should get. I find it funny no one mentioned 4 clear handball in box west brom dud 2 in both half's not given yet for far less I saw 3 penalties given in champiobs league for handball and the schalke 04 one I don't think even hit the persons hands and the ball to hand travelled half a yard to.

If we had those champions league refs the save by swansea player stopping a near certain goal would have been a penalty, Burnley game 2 penalties young got fouled and handball save like a basketball with 2 hands a goalkeeper diving save but from an outfield player corrupt ref, sunderland game 2 decisions in 3 seconds both penalties RVP fouled then young got swinged at, QPR home Herrera dynamism cuts in and the QPR player goes straight through himand you guessed it no penalty.

Yet Everton game Shaw barely touches the player= penalty, if weget fouled then there players dive=penalty.

posted on 22/10/14

TBH We probably should have had a penalty against West Brom in fairness...

But are you seriously saying as long as the refs give United decisions that they deserve we will beat Chelsea 7-1....

Has a Jose team even ever conceded 7 goals? let alone such a good Jose team!

Last part was on about Leicester game. Its actually alarming already into this season the refs have finished us.

I saw Man city game to, looked like a 50/50 decision for pen for man city not given then definately not a pen for cska given. Refs are cheats.

Refs have decided more games this season, unfortunately Man utd have been on the wrong end. Thats without going into red card decisions. People think Rooney is a red card but I have seen far worse against Man utd not even get a freekick this season.

posted on 22/10/14

BTW I found it funny Carragher saying a draw was a fair result. Van Gaal got it spot on our best game. We got punished the only two times they had a free man near our goal. Shame RVP shot hit post, Januzaj seems to snatch at everything and has poor shooting accuracy.

Man utd don't need luck, we just need a fair ref. We have the best team in the league, statistically to. Chelsea gonna be found out soon as we robably had more shots last game then chelsea had this season away from home.

WTF Hull in 3rd place 9 games 20 points but ended up having just 35 points from 38 games. I remember Gibson scoring a cracker in a 0-1 win against them last game of the season.

Imagine if that happens to Southampton this season although they are a far better team and should finish midtable at least.
