I love wilshere and ramsey, but in some games they needto be taught to not take risks and focus on retention. we are better defensively because they are not on the pitch to keep losing the ball

The biggest issue is that, in my opinion, you can only play one or the other. Wenger does seem to want to play both, hence the 4-1-4-1, but we always end up losing something when they play together, be it defensive solidity, ball retention, or the best of Ozil because we don't play with a no.10.

I don't think its even that. If we setup 4-2-3-1, Ramsey works harder and is more illusive when he comes late into the box. Wenger changing the formation messes up the balance and takes away from Ramsey's game.

Wilshere unfortunately holds onto the ball a bit too much slowing the tempo when he plays too forward. Wenger really has to convert him to holding.
