The problem since Sturridge got injured is a lack of movement. We play in front of every defence with passing from side to side by which time the opposition have regrouped in numbers. The likes of Coutinho and Lallana have great vision but there isn't enough movement in front of them usually in behind defences to create many chances. Simply a step down in quality from SAS to Lambert and Borini.

Sturridge is class. When's he due back?

Lambert has been poor, Borini seems to be putting effort in and has been pretty good so far

Not uncommon for the league cup. you get the odd one like Arsenal Reading last year, but the league cup is normally a bit dull.

Chelsea 5-4 Man United
Dagenham 6-6 Brentford
Wycombe 3-7 Aston Villa
Liverpool 3-6 Arsenal

Not to mention the fact that teams like Cardiff and Bradford can reach the final, and upsets are much more common than in the FA Cup. The League Cup is far from dull.
