Pretty anonymous most weeks. Likes to hide. Cannot wait until Giroud is back.

Poor man's Daniel Sturridge

He has shown enough to convince me he will be England's answer to Thierry Henry

He's been decent so far in a side which is struggling to create chances at the moment. Certainly offers something different to Giroud. His link up play is much better than Giroud's and despite the bad pr I'd say he's a much better finisher than Giroud.

He's awful in all honesty.

He's no RVP...or Rooney...or Falcao...or Wilson

Thank Fack. That reads as a list of the worst performing strikers in Europe.

I honestly don't think he's better than Giroud. He suits our style better and the players around him will probably prefer playing with him due to that but overall him and Giroud are on the same level

Early in his career yet, show a lot more promise than giclown despite being pretty awful so far

One thing is sure, Sanogo won't be playing for the first team anytime soon. That said, Welbeck has shown already he will be, if not already, better than Giroud. Passing, control, team-play, speed, agility, attitude are areas I would rate him higher than Giroud at the moment. Put it simply, I don't miss Giroud or Welbeck.

Sanogo**

He's been a good signing so far, popping up with the odd goal even though our attackers have been struggling. Always puts in a good shift, doesnt infuriate like Giroud sometimes. Will score many goals when our attack clicks, expect at least one against burnley on the weekend

Sanogo workrate and ability to keep defenders busy can be very useful off the bench. Especially in big games as we've already seen from him. Any defender would hate playing against him. Keepers would love it though as his finishing is shocking

Giroud is also very good off the bench. His record for us off the bench is very good and should be used in a similar way to Dzeko at City

Giroud is a completely different player off the bench, should be used religiously as an impact player

Yes he does infuriate, dont talk nonsense

We should rip up Giroud's contract.

Right to the point he offers somthing different. Link up play better? No. This is absolute wrong.

He has the same problem as OG and look isolated which has to do with our way our midfield play.

Three home games without scoring if this stays like this.

Welbeck's been pretty much what was expected in his first few months.

Fairly average technical ability i.e. control, dribbling, passing. Good energy and good running behind the defence, but has spurned at least a chance per game, which Giroud gets lambasted for (and rightfully so).

I think it's too early to rule him out as the long term solution, he's only 24 next month, but if we do want to compete with the Bayern's and Real Madrid's of this world, can we do it with players with the quality of DW? Not sure.

Wrong thread haha. Welbeck has been better than Giroud IMO.

None - of course every single player will miss many chances

But all three of our strikers seem to consistently miss good chances game after game.

Wrong.

We creating not enough. That is our main problem.

Not creating enough, agree.

Still our strikers aren't clinical enough for a top side, though.
