Sakho for West Ham or Pelle for Southampton - BEST

Not sure on worst, thinking Ferdinand at QPR or Balotelli maybe.

Pelle, £8 million quid, 7 goals in 10 appearances and now broken into the Italian team which will make him better if anything.

Best - Sakho
Worst - Lovren

Any of southampton's new signings could be in with a shout for best so far. Especially as people were tipping them to really struggle after selling their supposed best players. They've all fitted in perfectly and hit the ground running. Smart buying from them. Didn't just splash the cash on a load of overpriced players who are meant to be good, or flavour of the month players. like a lot of clubs do

People will say Pelle at Southampton but I think Tadic is a more important player for them. Sakho and Valencia were great buys too and cheap.

I wouldn't say Balotelli was the worst buy simply becuase he was $hit before and is $hit now so isn't exactly a shock.

Hard to pick a worst,Balo and Rio stand out right now

Fabregas has been great for us. Sanchez for Arsenal. Di Maria for United.

not me, maybe someone else.

I think balotelli will come good for Liverpool! Despite the over exaggeration he is actually a gifted player. I think
He believed the hype about him being some sort of good finisher because he is not but his build up play and other aspects of his all round game are decent except he doesn't have the work rate to be a lone striker. The truth is u can only be a good lone striker aswell as your midfielders and attackers play.

Even Welbeck who has all the skills to be a good lone striker looks isolated most times

Don't kick off Man u fans but how is .................Falcao doing?
Not the worst but needs to step his game/fitness up.

Costa, Fabregas and Sanchez all world class and bought for around 30 million which is amazing considering today's market. Sakho, Valencia and somg for west ham have been very astute buys. I like the look of tadic for Southampton although pelle has been very good too. For us blind for 16 million has been excellent. Di Maria has been amazing but you'd expect so consider he cost 63 million.

Not sure about Chelsea signing felipe Luis either. He's class but if he's never gonna play what's the point in spending so much on him.

I'd probably go with costa as overall best signing. Arsenal fans saying Sanchez do you honestly believe he's been better than costa?

I think AFC fans are picking Sancez because he has very quickly turned into our best/most important and productive player.
Where Costa is getting more assistance from Fab and others to help make him shine, Sanchez is a one man army coz the rest of the team are playing chit!

May I choose a few?

Best for different reasons so far: Pelle, Sakho, Fabregas, Di Maria, Sanchez

Worst for different reasons so far: Rio, Balo, Falcao, Long, Mangala

A lot can change though.

Clubs that did the best business overall imo just to digress a bit:

Southampton, Hull, Arsenal, Chelsea

Worst: Liverpool, Villa, Utd, Spurs

While Di Maria has looked good, he hasn't influenced the result of matches yet as much as Costa, Fabregas, Pelle or Sakho. It's one thing playing well but if the teams not getting results then it's not really a good transfer is it

I don't really agree with that. I think were it not for Di Maria Utd would be somewhere near the drop zone. He has assisted and scored in points winning ways and the lift he has givent he team and overall contribution is not to be underestimated I feel. I should have had Costa on my list for sure though.

ohhh controversial but a good point nonetheless. But individually,he's been pretty good from what i have seen so far.

Afc if your reason for choosing Sanchez is because he's been playing with a team of inferior players to Costa then Sakho who has been equally impressive, playing in a much lesser players than Arsenal should be ahead of Sanchez.

Juan, i didnt choose Sanchez, i just said the reasons why i thought other AFC fans picked him.

Sanchez is definitely a better overall player than Costa. Costa has certain strengths in his game that suit certain styles but as shown in the spainish setup his game also has certain limitations.

I also think that was the main reason why it never quite worked for Cesc at Barca, his movement was a bit too static and he often preferred to make quick passes which most barca players would not be ready for.

A lot of it had to do with his education at Arsenal.
