Not for me. Tbh I want to see a partnership between Lovren and Sakho blossom as on paper it works.
I think Kolo's days are up though but he is a decent squad option.

I think youre being unfair on Kolo there greatteams. Let's be honest, Skrtel is a disaster waiting to happen, and he puts through his own net on a regular basis. Lovren and Sakho, despite both looking the part, are seemingly lightweight and can't track a runner to save their lives.
Fact is, all our centre backs are tragic at the moment. I can't see Kolo doing any worse than the others.
Great I've noticed that none of our team are any good in the air, especially all our defenders, watch our next game and see how many headers we loose out on. It's mental, plus how many times do we see our defenders allow forwards to take the ball down? This is starting to really annoy me.
Agree with you re Kolo.

I agree with the second balls part and I think it's made worse by our deep line. If the players knew that Mignolet would marshall the loose balls coming into the box from flick ons we could play higher up the pitch and then the 2nd balls would be a clear chance in the box if we don't get to it.
Whatever Rodgers does he needs to do it quick. I read somewhere that Liverpool so far this season have conceeded a goal (or more) in 86% of all games this season (both domestic and Europe). That's a ridiclous stat.
I am really of the opinon now that our deficiencies at the back are less to d with the personnel and more with the system and coaching.
In Rodgers time in charge we have continued to concede a shocking amount of goals no matter the CB pairing or make up of the back 5.
It seems to have gotten to the point that no one really seems to feel comfortable in their roles, hence we see CBs going for the same ball with full backs trying to cover all the space left behind. Add to that a dodgy keeper and we are all at sea.
I think we need to pick a back four and stick to it as best possible.
I think Kolo is great for the role he has, sporadic games and great leadership and experience off the pitch.
Long term we need a settled partnership between Lovren and A N Other. Whether Sakho or Skrtel will be that other remains to be seen.

He had an average game against Swansea's second string attack

It's not really that ridiculous in October.

Over Rodgers tenure as manager we are averaging about 1.2 goals per game conceded. Shocking.
I've always liked Kolo as well. He is a very solid defender, and arguably him and Agger as at the start of last season was our best centre back pairing under Rodgers. He got injured and Skrtel who found form and suddenly he was out the team, I felt he could feel hard done by.
He is done very well for us when we have needed him. Too much is made about the WBA pass, Fulham own goal
.They were two bad mistakes but apart from that he has done very little wrong, Skrtel has many more moments of madness that I don't see him being lambasted for months afterwards?
I'd like to see him get some gametime in the premier league or champions league, I think we will improve defensively with him there. Toure/Lovren is worth a try.
If we were to play a back 3 then yes quite possible.
Otherwise back up only to Skrtel.
