As impressive as Costa's been, if I was a Chelsea fan, I'd be seriously worried about his injury problems.
-Is he ever going to be fully fit?
-Can he be fully fit?
-Did Chelsea know this when they bought him?
-What happened at his medical? I presume the doctors would have seen any problems

He's played 7/9 league games and scored 9 goals. If that's him not being fully fit I don't think they'll mind one bit
Wild Rover
He's coming back from his one and only serious professional football injury, Chelsea were managing him very well, he then went on International duty, where they didn't put the same procedures in place and it's meant the following.
Chelsea's medical team is the best in England and managed well, I don't see him any long term problems.
Just curious is all. Don't get me wrong, he's been immense this season. Just odd how in modern day football with expert doctors, physios, nutritionists, etc...that he can't seem to shake off the injury. Wonder if he's going to end up like Ledley King playing every 2nd game or not training between games
Matic, Ivanovic, Costa and Cesc are the stand outs, Azpilicueta has been as solid as ever... Courtois hasn't been unbelievable but he's done well when called upon, No better than Cech just yet,
Costa has a hamstring injury that needs an operation to correct.
this will mean that he could be out for up to 6 weeks.
Chelsea want this to happen during an international break to minimise the impact it will have on Chelsea.
there is also a chance that he will be managed until the end of the season and have the op then.
rover still obsessing about CFC.
Can't argue with any of that Charlag. I would of liked to have seen more of Luis but if it ain't broke...
My only problem is Mikel. I'm not scapegoating, the guy is getting worse every game. He doesn't deserve a place in such a talented squad. Should have sold him to Inter and given Romeu a chance.
Agree about Matic. Linchpin

Teebo's save against Everton when it was 3-2 was as good as you will see all season. I agree though, Cech could step in tomorrow with no detrimental effect. But that's our big Pete

Romeu is probably worse than Mikel
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well we won't know unless we play him. How many games has Mikel played to show his worth, 200? The guy is mid table.

Completely disagree sideshow. mikel playing 200 games for us means : anyone>mikel
As for stand outs
matic matic matic for me
ivan been great going forward poor defensively(like hes swapped roles) and hazard has been good.
Fab has gone missing in our two big games this year so that puts him down a bit, other than that a great start.
Costa is right now though
That's nonsense mate. I'm talking about him coming on for the last 15 and being tidy, if needed. Not running the show. Mikel can't pass or run. Next time he comes on watch how many times he gets caught flat-footed against any breaking midfielder.
I'm not championing Romeu, I just don't want to see John Obi come on ever again.

I miss Costa loads already
Fabregas has been good and as the season has gone on his defensive side of the game has improved.
Hazard has disappointed me a bit. He's been good in a lot of games but has failed to deliver an end product as usual.
Cahill has looked dodgy.

yousee that header mikel done into the box right into the ground at a 180 degree angle that came shooting straight back in the air?
He started so many pressur emoments for utd the other day, so poor

Really TLLL?i would say cahill has been very good, probably better than terry, the goals we have conceded have been more of a team failing than individual. ivanovic has been more suspect defensively for me.
This Blue Texan-On the other hand:
-I think Mikel has been poor, when he's played his job has been to hold onto leads (City,United) and even when featuring against Shrewsbury I thought Ake looked a more complete player.

why when someone says good points about a poor player, people say its scapegoating?its not. Mikel has been on the field and is part reason for us letting leads slip. It is not scapegoating or coincidence.
Ivanovic has been at fault for a few games, I'm not making him a scapegoat...it happened. it literally happened.
