Carrick and McNair were class, as was Shaw. De Gea and Fellaini eadly mentions
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fellaini wasn't terrible but when I watch him play it looks like he's running in treacle. He can make good tackles and interceptions but he's just too slow on the ball and getting back in position when he maraudes forward. It leaves you exposed in midfield.
Game needed a stronger ref

How did Rooney play?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Atrocious for 80 minutes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He wasn't that bad. Defended well when we were digging deep, played a good part in a lot of our attacks.
Better than RVP and Di Maria
Rooney was decent, Di Maria had a bit of a mare. Shaw, DDG, Fellaini played well. Carrick, Mcnair and Blind were also decent

Think this game just reinforces that Utd are a bit average, city aren't the team they were last year and the title is already Chelsea's
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What nonsense are you harping about. We had 10 men ffs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You don't think Utd are a bit average? 13 points from 10 games?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
so average yet we gave both chelsea and city (with 10 men) a bloody good game

There are a few conclusions I've had for the last few games.
No Fellaini
No Januzaj
No Smalling
No RVP
Each and every one of them is hindering our team, big time.
di maria's corners need a bit of work
RVP was anonymous again. Shouldnt have started him
Anyone seen with Hart did? The man should've been sent off. Referee bottled it big time. Look at this:

worst start to united season after ten games since sone racist called big ron was in charge.

i think RVP is getting sharper, think he would have got a goal if we had 11 players on the pitch
That could have been a lot worse.
Fro man, Carrick, McNair, Shaw, Valencia and de Gea.
RVP poor though the sending off obv didn't help, Rooney grew but too late.. Adm was poor and adnan.. Kid needs to be used as a sub.
Happy with that overall.. Showed fight till the end.. If city and chelsea are the best in the league then we aren't far away from the top again

Yep far too young as well.
Said it earlier, he went into the game looking to 'let it flow' and not book players. But there were fouls deserving of yellows early on and he refused to give them. This mentality also meant he refused to give a pen to City, and probably also contributed to Smallings brain fart by thinking he could get away with murder.

Well said clevs. We are one or two players from challenging if these two are the best.
Also considering we are considered shocking defensively, I thought we did well being down to 10 men and all that.

RVP is good for tippy tappy teams but when you are down to 10 men or trying to counter atack, you need someone who can hold up the ball and bring others in to play. RVP cannot do that
One problem we have as well, we need a striker to strecth defences. All our strikers like it to the feet. We need someone like a Saha. Give players like Demichellis something to think about. We sell welbs because Wilson is there. Absurd decision. If we don't get top 4, sack LVG. This start we have had is absolutely diabolical. Moyes got it, and rightly so, LVG needs to get it as well, don't give a monkeys had he won the World Cup.
We're a big distance away from not only Chelsea and City but also Arsenal.
Not sure why United fans are happy with this performance. 3 clear penalties were denied. And Rojo would have been off before his injury, leaving you only 9 men.
I think Europa League is our best bet this season.
The result was more important for us than anything given recent performances. Again, we looked bereft of confidence and only flashes of last season came through.
For you guys, I'm not sure top four is as nailed on as I originally thought.
Worst quality derby game in a long time though so difficult to judge really.

rojo got a huge chunk of the ball before he got the man
and aguero was looking to dive for the 3rd one
