There's an interview where Lauda explains it all and says Seb stunned everyone when he told Horner he was leaving. He also said Ferrari released Alonso from his contract on Thursday before Seb made the announcement. Alonso is definitely being kicked out of Ferrari.

He also said Mercedes were quite pleased about the development as not only did it weaken Ferrari, it also weakened RedBull. He further stated they were not interested whatsoever in Alonso and had the strongest driver pairing and were 1-2 on the grid and had no reason to change it and will look to keep Lewis and NIco for as long as possible.

The interview is on the beeb but this is the summary; http://www1.skysports.com/f1/news/12472/9502252/niki-lauda-rules-out-mercedes-move-for-fernando-alonso-eyes-new-lewis-hamilton-deal

Oh dear! Some people are not going to like this;

"I have never won the Brazilian Grand Prix but it is a race I have always wanted to win and I aim to put that right this weekend."

"It's particularly special to me, not least because it was Ayrton Senna's home. He was my childhood hero and, although I'm a lot older now, he was - besides my dad - the person who had the most influence on me when I was growing up."

"Senna was the driver who inspired me, and whom I always aspired to be like. His legacy lives on as strong as ever here in Brazil. I very much feel that when I am coming here."

"I was on Brazilian television after arriving here and there was a nice moment when they gave me a Brazil football shirt with my name on it. They said they had a passport for me and would I represent them because they did not have a driver who was winning, or who drives like Senna did.

They said I had such a great following here and, although I'd seen a few flags, I didn't know that.
I put it down to a few factors: the connection I felt with Senna; perhaps the way I drive - some people have said that some of the things I do in the car resembled what he used to do; and the fact that I wear my heart on my sleeve and people can sense my passion for what I do - and I hope that speaks to the fans here."

Not a single comparison between the 2

The Brazilians see the similarities

His colleagues see the similarities

Experts and pundits see the similarities

However they are all wrong, the clowns

They look alike though

Comparisons can be made between any 2 individuals. I think BW meant to state that he sees no similarities between the 2.

Both were F1 drivers. Does that count?

Now, now, my good ol bruvver WTMOTOGP, What our good old bruvver BTCBBCF1 was doing was gossiping using his cutting edge low downforce wit

MAD, I don't think you should engage in gossiping about fellow bruvvers. All they want to do is make sensible debate about non-f1 issues.

Is it true, is rosberg quicker than hamilton, if so fairplay lad! Or os it hamilton has better race setup n compromises quali, lewis is clearly quicker in the race, quite significantly

I'm beginning to see Rosberg as a bit smug, without much humility. Can't put my finger on it, just something about him....

I know exactly what you mean but I think it's a bit of a front. He did do a great job though, but still expect him to come second. Especially of it rains

Maybe you're right Eden, but he seems very smarmy lately, almost like he 'knows something'.
I bet a certain Hamilton fanboy will have a field day if anything happens.
