Two handballs in their area, one in their area for the first goal. Ball was out for their second as well as him being offside. Unbelievable.

Can anyone deny that Brendan has overseen a virtual carbon copy of Spurs when they let Bale go?

I can accept a loss no problem, over the years of watching football, you learn to. Still haven't learnt to accept poor officiating though, I just can't.

i would add to that, booking costa early on for his shove on skrtel too, the ball was already out of play by mig when it happened, which ultimately may have led to his dismissal at the end

the first cahill handball was something of nothing, seeing as it was infront of his chest

And not booking Costa a lot earlier in the match, and blowing the whistle when Balotelli was through because Ivanovic was down, even though he had plenty of opportunity to do it before he did it right when we were through.

Cahill two diving handballs in his area, stonewall penalties. Ramires punch on Sterling, a stonewall red, unless you're being obstructed...apparently. Balotelli clean through, ref waited until then to blow the whistle. Just so many little things also.

I wouldn't put it up there with the refereeing performance in Barca's favour against Chelsea a few years back but it was very very poor.

youve forgotten costas early shove on skrtel when the ball had been put out of play 20 yards away, that was nothing but aggressive

with another ref matic ramires and costa could have reasonably all seen red cards today.

Chelsea are an excellent side and I feel no shame in losing to them, it's just difficult to take when we could have won the game but for a poor refereeing performance.
