I'll crack up if he beat Barca or Madrid.

Sociedad have only won twice this season. Atleti and Real Madrid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Depends on how you look at it. With such big games out of the way, Sociedad are only two wins away from Villareal in 8th. Contrast this with Southampton and their brutal fixture-list over the next two months.

I guess they wanted a manager who can't beat the top teams and he is your man for that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He took over Everton in similar circumstances. Moyes is a very good manager, just obviously not suited for a top club.
In any case he did better than LVG has so far, without a summer of spending and a more difficult start.
Gillespie Road
They've got a pretty nice run of games coming up. Combined with the win against Atletico and the new manager factor, maybe it's good timing.

Indeed, inherited the champions and a full squad whilst LvG inherited the 7th best team and lost 3 of the back 4 and another 10 players.
One good thing to come from this though is that sexaymoyesball is back baby

Why did Moyes keep them?
good luck to him... never the right man for us, but always came across as a decent bloke... brave move going abroad too.
Moyes thought he was being clever keeping a supposed well oiled team together that had just won the title at a canter.
However most of us know very well that in fergie's final season our performances weren't that great and we got away with it countless times that year winning a lot of games 3-2. We trailed in 17 games that season so the warning signs were definitely there.
I don't think Moyes will last the full season in Spain. He's not cut out for that league at all IMO but good luck to him anyway.

Not really relevant is it. You were using it to justify LvG failing. Moyes inherited that cràp but was in the impossible position of having to prove he was up to the job. SAF had just fluked a title with those players, so Moyes couldn't justify getting rid. It wasn't until they exposed themselves as utter shíte last season when they didn't have RvP bailing them out every other game that they were shown up for what they are.

I suspect because SAF had just fluked the league with them an he didn't realise until too late how much of an overhaul the squad needed. LvG was fortunate to succeed Moyes and would have already had an idea of who he wanted to ditch. Either way, LvG chose to bin those players, he didn't lose them; so it's not an excuse for his failure as you implied.

I didn't. If there's more than 20 comments, I just wing it and jump in at the bottom.
I know a group of fans who can give the Sociedad fans a good deal on a "Chosen One" banner of Moyes.
