Lump on Scotland to win.

Pleased to hear just now that morally upright FIFA have told bitter England bigwigs to naff off.

Scots have started nervously against Ireland's early hoof approach.

Wardy gives away a needless corner as the Scots hit back. Fletcher almost scores. Should have scored.

One in Seventeen for Fletcher and no International goals in 5 years.

Surprised at that.

Ireland seem to be hoofball specialists, like the face scotland are playing a much more technical game, but you can see Ireland being effective, if a little crude.

Ireland are no different to when they adopted this style under Jack Charlton.

Ward hoofing to Shane Longball time and again.

Scotland struggling to play around it.

Effective though, play to your strengths and all that. Scotland need to up their passing game, they could open Ireland up if they play to their strengths , too much crossing, which o'shea had been good at dealing with.

Crosses yield few goals - no top sides employ this tactic except when the percentage is favourable for a moment in a game. Scotland's approach play has been decent but then they give it away with hopeful crosses into the box.

Ireland's defence will take that all day.

What they need to do is get Ward on his heels.

Scotland nearly score from a cross () but Fletcher is too one-footed. Right foot for a simple goal.

Super goal

Scotland fully deserved that. Nice that a measured moment of class has trumped Ireland's huff lump and hope.

RK coming on, mind...

Beautifully worked goal, that was a great bit of play.

"Yes - Brady coming on."

Is he the one that looks like a Leprechaun?
TBH,I'm a bit disappointed with the distinct lack of Ginger hair in this match up,we should be witnessing a sea of fiery red hair, pasty skin and freckles?
And since when was Gordon Strachan blond, has he moved to Australia or something without our knowledge?

Must be 40,000 Scots fans there tonight. They sucked up the tickets ages in advance as the Irish dithered.
