Arsenal's tacts were a joke.

After we rode a fairly hefty 30 min first half storm......I thought we always looked most likely to win from that point on.

Arsenal never change their plan. They have a Plan A and when Plan A isn't working, they continue with it anyway.

Second half they never really looked liked scoring. They huffed and puffed but most of their efforts were speculative at best.

Having more of the ball doesn't mean anything.

Yeah we could and should have destroyed them on the counter in the latter parts of the second half.

It is amazing how suicidal Arsenal play even going 1-0 down with plenty of time to play.

.................

Over here in the USA, the NBC studio punditry team of Robbie Earle and Robbie Mustoe have been saying this all season long.

Having 9 men up the pitch and getting caught on the counter has been a problem for them all season long.

Either Mr Specsavers can't see this or just doesn't have the personnel to address it.

Arsenal reminded me of a Sunday league team chasing a goal.

Leaving one defender at the back to cope with Rooney/ Di Maria is suicide. They did similar versus Swansea and it cost them.

At one stage during the 2nd half, Martin Tyler commentated that Arsenal were laying siege to the United goal. Really? Since when is a sucession of 5 yard side-way passes with no one having any attempt on goal considered laying siege?

The way wikshere and giroud were allowed to run through Carrick was quite embarrassing mind.

Arsenal parked the bus. We battered them. Small team tactics by Arsenal to try and just defend, with very few chances then they probably though they could sneak a jammy own goal that was offside or something like that. That's the kind of team Arsenal have become.

Nice comedian. Even botched final balls also count as chances. I guess by that logic, Arsenal could have scored 10.

De Gea only had to make one or two saved out of his comfort zone.

Keep reading that Arsenal could have been out of sight in the 1st half, on any other day, but I think the same could be said for us, in the 2nd half.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
think the point is that by the second half we should have been maybe a couple up. can't argue with the rest of it, you knew how to beat us and you did it. Worst thing was you could see it coming as soon as we started missing everything. How Wilshere doesn't score I'll never know.

I would expect nothing less than perfect punditry from the Port Vale legend

I accept we're mental midgets and bottlers and our tippy-tappy, over-elaborate play is often overdone. But still, by far the better team lost the game. Anyone saying otherwise is just kidding themselves really.

To be fair, both of these two are far better pundits than the likes of Redknapp, Lawro, Pleat, Hansen etc.

What did you do from 30 minutes onwards to consider yourself "by far the better team"?

You can throw around all the stats you want, but, as usual, we soaked up your early pressure and counter attacked you to pocket 3 points.

We didn't play well, but, as normal, we were by far the better tactically. No other team panic when going 1-0 down (at home) more than Arsenal.

Arsenal were by far the better team and had they taken their chances would've wont the game but once they conceded the flukey 1st they decided to play suicidal football and threw it away. Once that goal went it I knew it was curtains for us (we've done the exact same thing so many times its almost comical) and Utd just sat back soaked up the pressure and countered. It's silly to say Utd were the better team but tactically they were far more astute

So, better managed / coached team then, yes?

What "far better team" has 10 of their players in the oppositions half?

What far better team doesn't learn from the same mistake they have been making all season?

There is a reason we sold you Welbeck, he is now your main man

You will never be any good with arrogant players like Wilshere wanting all the attention, all he had to do was be selfless and slip the ball to Sanchez for a free goal, but no, Wilshere wouldn't do that.
He should also have been red carded for head butting Fellaini but we shall ignore that one shall we?

Arsenal and Liverpool are good for a laugh.

Which goes to show that you were not "far better".

You bettered us for 30 minutes and probably should have scored (surely a team that is "better by far" can score a one on one?), but these sort of ebbs and flows happen over 90 minutes.

We were starting to get a foot in the game from 30 minutes on, and we were starting to get some joy long before the goal.

No one is saying that UTD were the better team.... But better tactics ensured another simple 3 points.

First goal could and should be put down as pure luck as opposed to good tactics. Fellaini is offside, gibbs is fouled and then he puts the ball into the net when it was going wide. Then at 1-0 down obviously we had to pour forward to get a goal, hence the 2nd. 1 shot on target or whatever it was hardly screams top class tactics to me, but yeah you won so guess you could just use that as the argument.

Had an argument with their board, they feel it wasn't a red card and it wasn't a heatbutt action. They also think Mike Dean hates them

are you Gooners now claiming that in football it is impossible for team to win a game after going a goal down?

posted on 24/11/14

If you wanna play the crying game... what about Wilshire's headbutt? Or the ridiculous offside call on Di Maria?

Arsenal's problem seem to be from tip to tail.... Your manager, players and fans all seem to think that playing pretty football means you are better than you actually are.

Well we have been doing similar for some time now against you lot. You would think you would learn by now.

No problem with that, but you still don't leave one defender covering two strikers.
