It would be nice to win but my point is please dont say we are in the last 8 as if we have beaten 12 teams to get there.

Its a fact that ourselves and Burnley can both still win the league but lets try for a few seconds to be serious.

you were saying it as if to say whats the problem we are fine, look how well we are doing in the league cup, howler of an own goal by yourself

How can anyone be serious with you? This time last season you were stating our season was over and we were more likely to be in a relegation fight than challenging for a top four spot. You only ever show up when there's something negative to say. Though that's because you leave the positive comments to your alter ego 'Metro'.

Being in the last 8 is a goog thing and that's with a tie against Bornmouth to come as well. Only an idiot would not recognise that I'm afraid let alone try and devalue it.

The form is poor and the rotating of the squad irks me but if no-one is playing well then he does not really have much choice. The players are not doing what they are being asked to do which is why Rodgers booted all the water bottles last night when they passed it all the way back to the keeper.

Fact is we are a collective and our job is to support.

So support.

Things are bad but could get a lot better very quickly, or get worse just as quickly.

In 3 weeks time we could:

SF's of Cap 1 Cup
Last 16 of CL
Close on top 4.

Then again, we could:

Out of the Cap 1 Cup
Only the EL
10pts or more away from top4.

It's unpredictable which way it will go, or somewhere in the middle.

People have very short memories.

first off someone above tried to compare this to Moyes at united without looking at the glaring differences i.e. Moyes didn't finish 2nd the season before ergo had no credit in the bank, and proven ability to get a team playing very good football. For this alone Brendan deserves plenty of time to turn it around.

Also so many people seem to forget that this time last year, and the year before we were really not much better then we are now, remember Hull away last season? When Sterling looked like he'd never make it? Things change and they change quickly, look how much better we were in the second half of last season when compared with the first. Same was evident in Brendan's first year, poor start but an excellent second half of the campaign.

The big difference last season was we managed to scrape results which this season we are not getting, we lost Luis but also Studge, how's that not going to impact your goals scored???

New players; Right well so far been overall quite poor, but is 3 months enough time ot judge a new player? There are literally 100's of examples, of players who have made the step up to a bigger club and it's taken time to get them going. If we fired Brendan now what happens to all the new signings? A new manager comes in and needs months to assess the squad, something Brendan has already done to an extent. It's ridiculous to think that a new man comes in and bang we're suddenly good.

To be honest allot of the guff I read on here sounds like spoiled kids who can’t take getting grief off their mates over their team being poor. Criticism is part of football, but constructive criticism is not what we see here, 4 losses and it's Armageddon and we should fire everyone???

Be patient, allow the squad more time to gel, allow our young manager to make mistakes and learn from them, yes he's stubborn and it could ultimately cost him his job along with the signings should none of them develop more in the coming months.

I'm all for criticism, like I hate how our fullbacks position themselves when we don’t have the ball, I'm worried every time we have to defend a corner but even with all that I think of what I've seen Brendan do at our club since he has joined and think the man deserves our full support and plenty of time, I know he can build a team that plays great football, I'm willing to give him a chance to do that again. I hope more fans can look at this situation logically and follow a similar path.

Some of the stuff I've read is seriously shocking. It would be sheer madness to fire a manager at this stage of a season where yes we've lost a world class player and not adequately replaced him but not given the manager enough time to put it right. We are still afloat in the domestic cups and European qualification is still in our hands. Combined with still somehow miraculously only being 5 points behind United it isn't the end of the world and all of the top four candidates bar Chelsea and City (till recent improvements) look poor performance wise. It's important to keep the belief that a few wins will ignite the season. Ultimately if performances and results don't pick I can see his position coming under scrutiny but at the moment it would be sheer idiocy to fire Rodgers.

I don't think there have been that many fans saying Brendan should be fired.

There is plenty of criticism about but I don't think many have said 'sack him now!'.

A fair chunk of the criticism is merited but that doesn't mean the same man can't help change it.

Ultimately all managers rise or fall by what their players do. It's as much the players that will decide his future as it is the man himself.

We all stood by David Moyes.
That went well for us.

To be fair, if you could defend you'd have píssed the league last year and you wouldn't be having this conversation now. Just like here at United, it doesn't excite the fans but it has to be done.

I'm sure the vast amount of reds will feel that the manager has earned and has enough credit in the bank to realise that BR deserves some patience from the clubs owners and the supporters.

He has to get it right quickly though. American business and the some of the more modern fans I fear won't tolerate such poor performances for long.

It's the level of performance more than anything which is concerning.

I don't buy into the idea that just cause FSG are American they will be trigger happy. They identified a young coach, have backed him with transfer funds and I doubt they'd be so successful if they were firing people on a whim

When will people see that last season was down to Suarez and not Rodgers

Suarez dictated the whole tempo of play last year otherwise Rodgers would still be playing the high pressing game that Suarez implemented
