Great read Utg ππππ
It's ball ache to get to. Such a long journey. Great ground though. It's my lads 11th birthday on Saturday so I won't be attending. It's also the 4th anniversary of my uncle death. He was only 60 and my mums twin brother.
He was the biggest Town fan I've ever met. He's the reason behind us travelling to so many away games as kids. Fingers crossed we can put in a performance.
I'm going for a 2-2 draw.
Btw, I got behind a car yesterday and thought of you. The reg was DE58 UTG π
From norwich...its the quiz of the week..der der der..der der der..der der..der der..der....der der der..der der def...der der
.... utg for a great thread and attending yet another match!
You must be loaded
Havent been to carrow road yet misen..but been to portman road once...hell of a journey...but nowt compared to when i spent 6 hours either way ont coach to plymouth...it was worth it though to see a boothy hattrick
Nowt to fear but fear itself...im going for a 3-1 town victory with holt wells and vaughan to share the goals
Take your phone utg and you can listen to the pre-match build up on mixlr
nice one UTG Hope you have a good day out and we get at least a point..
must be 20 yrs since I went to Norwich, although that was in good weather and indeed we partook of a few jars at the 'Angler' and watched the boats ...A mateof mine had taken a week off to go on the broads prior to the game...and plenty of beers too...I saw him trying to navigate his boat into a berth by the pub..it was hilarious as he kept bumping into things he shouldn't have been bumping in to...he was totally lashed...didn't give chuff and caused much laughter..
That was as good as it got, we lost the game...and as I remember my seat was slap bang behind a pillar..I could see zilch...I was allowed to move though but only after the kick off
I wish it had been mine Hydy but mine's not as newπ’ I can't afford another one as all my money goes on watching town. Tried asking Father Christmas for one but he said no chance, I've not been good enough.
I've probably been to about 60-65 different grounds so far, including ones that no longer exist. My ambition is to visit them all so need us to get promoted so I can go to those premiership ones I've never been to.
Wonder if we'll ever get there? And more to the point do we want to try and compete in the greedy league?
I've been to around 50 grounds now! Our uncle that Hydy talks about went to 89 all following Town.
Good on your late uncle for making it to many grounds, hope I can do the same.
Are all your family town supporters? I have 3 sons but only the oldest goes to games. My youngest has been occasionally and always looks out for our results but my middle one has absolutely no interest in football at all. Strange.
Nice thread UTG
At last count around 500 tickets sold in the away section for the weekend which considering the time and distance it is away from West Yorkshire is good effort...oh yes and it's nearly Xmas.
Yet another tough game in the championship, Norwich may be struggling at the moment but they have some quality players and we are going to have to be up for this to get anything at the weekend.
Enjoy the trip, I know I will no matter what the result
Yes Utg all of us our town fans, apart from my dad's youngest brother who's a Leeds fan.
The majority of us are season ticket holders and go to plenty of away games. I go to as many as I can.
I remember the young brother you talk about Hydy in a Town shirt at the old Leeds Road, anyone who can even consider swapping aligences is no real football fan... How can they be?
They can't Wethers. You have one team and you stick with them through thick and thin. I have a liking for Arsenal but on the odd occasion we play them I want Town to win. You can only be loyal to one team.
Exactly... I can't take him seriously.
Just read this on sky sports. Great gesture.
Wigan's players have offered to pay half of the cost of away tickets for their trip to Leeds on Boxing Day after fans complained about the prices set by the Whites.
Numerous Latics supporters contacted their club with complaints about the fees for the game at Elland Road, which are currently priced at £36 for advanced sales and go up to £41 on the day.
Wigan's own players have now stepped in to offer financial aid for that Sky Bet Championship fixture on December 26 by paying 50 per cent on the first 500 advance tickets sold.

Great gesture. Do you think it will shame Leeds into looking at their admission prices? No, me neither.
Nope Utg. They think they are above everyone else.
Wouldn't it be great if every club just charged £20 for adults £10 kids and oaps.
It would be brilliant. I might even be able to save up for a new (to me at least) carππ
Apparently only 30 Wigan fans had bought tickets for the skip on Boxing day due to their appalling ticket prices... So the players stepped in.... Typical robbing L**ds scu_mm.
Don't be so hard on Leeds, they need all the money they can muster to bail Cellino!
Regarding the match thread. Five Delia's delicious hot pies from me UTG! π²π²π²π²π²
Fifa 15 prediction is a two nil win for Town, Wells and Coady to find the net.
I am actually quietly confident, almost got a great feeling about this one
Who's turning the radio on this weekend? π
Terriernet will be on lv
Gonna buy a 20m ethernet cable so i can hopefully improve the match stream?...lots of freezing over wifi so fingers crossed
Maybe its just the slow processing speed of a 5 year old lappy....this htc m8 mobi is lightning quick
Where's my old mucka Darn these days?
Now you seen why our fans are so bitter about prices, I'm a season ticket holder and payed £460, but tickets where I sit are £36 or £41 on the day.
It's absolutely disgusting, especially for a 'skip'.
We got charged £41 at Norwich by the way, on a week night. So other clubs are paying us back.
With te money Leeds charge it is a wonder they were (are??) losing so much cash as its not like they had any marquee players likes some Championship clubs. I guess its the top brass their paying dividends out to the shareholders instead of spending it on the club or reducing prices.
The gesture from the Wigan players is great though, clearly some PR person would have come up with it but still its a good thing to do.
I am a little nervous about the game at Norwich, but then there are no easy games so I guess I should just have the same blind faith I always do an say 2-1 win for Town!!!!
Charging that much for away fans when they've traveled is appalling, although Wigan isn't far, but not the point.
Norwich are crap at home, thair fans turn when things aren't going right, so you want to be going at them from the start. We got a 1-1 draw and we're shocking away from home.
